Question concerning sounds, scary sounds

I think it's alright to post this here. Anyway, I was in the Briarian Woods and I heard a roaring sound. I don't mean text appeared on the screen like it might do during quests, I mean actually from my speakers. I quickly checked afk for any pop-ups like those annoying "next generation smilies" that make noises, and there wasn't any, I had no other windows or applications open either. So, is there a creature (GM controlled or not), that roars? Or am I going crazy? Or does no-one know?

There are many sounds that are not used normally that gms can use. Probobly a bored Nitram roared at you.

That's right. Nitram likes it to 'roar', even he is around as a bunny
