video card problems?

today I installed a new video card and now illarion lags so horribly bad that i cannot move and it takes truly a minuete for my items in my inventory to appear and text moves very slow, can anyone tell me what I can do?

Well, first of all. What card is it?
But I think the problem is, that you forgot to install 3D Acceleration Drivers for your Video Card.

the card is a radeon 9600, i also had problems with my previous video card when i had updated the drivers. it was a nvidia 5200 geforce
