Hey,

I (Po Ghillian Onniron) had a discussion about the existing of male fairies with Nitram. Nitram has a little appreciation of male fairies. He can't imagine, that there exist male fairies. But I think, male fairies are pretty important. I mean, did you read the description of the fairies?

Unlike Elves however, they call their actual rulers kings and queens, they are always a couple – unmarried Faeries never become rulers.

In my oppinion, male fairies increase the whole fairy rp much. AND I think I fell in love with Ghillian . Well, what I wanted to know is, what do you think about male fairies? Are they suggestive? How do you like the rp with the male fairies? And to the POs of the female fairies, would you / do you like to flirt to some cute fairyboys?

Ich (PO Ghillian Onniron) hatte gerdade mit Nitram ne ziemlich lange Diskussion darüber, ob männliche Feen sinnvoll sind. Nitram hält nicht viel von ihnen und kann sich auch nicht so richtig ne männliche Fee vorstellen. Aber ich denke männliche Feen sind ziemlich wichtig. Ich mein, habt ihr mal die Feenbeschreibung durchgelesen?

Im Gegensatz zu den Elben jedoch nennen sie ihre jeweiligen Herrscher Könige und Königinnen. Diese sind immer ein paar – unverheiratete Feen würden niemals zum Herrscher gewählt werden

Meiner Meinung nach, unterstützen und vervollständigen männliche Feen irgendwie die komplette Sache rund um die Rasse der Feen. UND irgendwie hab ich mich wohl in Ghillian verliebt Naja, wie auch immer. Was ich eigentlich wissen wollte ist, was ihr davon haltet. Sind männliche Feen sinnvoll? Wie gefällt euch das RP mit den männlichen Feen die es bis jetzt gibt? Und an die POs der weiblichen Feen: Würde es euch gefallen / Gefällt es euch, mit eurer Fee mit einem putzigen, kleinen Feenjungen zu flirten?

Why no male fairies?
I see no reason not to.
The reason fairies are mostly assumed to only be female is because they're fairy's... And well, fairies dress and look a bit like girlies :/

What's so wrong about male fairies?

In my imagination fairies where allways female. May this is the reason, why there are only pictures for female fairies in the client and not for male fairies.


Noone can tell me that this should be male.

So i say there shouldn't be male fairies, because i allways saw and i like to see the fairies as a female race.

You could, but then again, I could hit him till he changes it back. I think it is perfectly fine for male faeries to exist. Or are you saying that lizards need 2 graphics as well, since they only have one graphic for male and female.

The background also says that there is more in the world of Illarion then just the little island of Gobiath.

Personally, if its a race, then I suppose there has to be male fairies as well...maybe they look too feminane for others to tell apart (same graphic), but.. its needed i think.

Why not make a graphic for male fairies with the clear wings and such?

the others are right. for a couple of reasons.

but i understand nitram. male fairies dont feel right!

they go against all the old bedsidestories!

imagine "Penny Pan" with a male fairy.... does that feel right?

why has to be? Because we only know two genders? What is if fairys have 4 different genders? Or 10? We only can't differ them?

What if they only have one and reproduce themselfe without having a partner?

Then Ku has a justified reason for killing them all.

I did some professional research and fond that male fairies do exist!

To simply disprove you I logged into the game with my character, entered the coordinates that would teleport me to the Fairy Hometone and asked the queen herself.

Good grief. Male fairies exist, i play one, Tanistian Kanea. Mind diferent graphics for male fairies would be nice, just change the wings would be good enough. And as for the last post... not commenting. Just joking the real answer is NO they are not tranvestites. if that was true I would personally hunt down whoever changed it to that and hit him/ her over the head with a cast iron frying pan till they put it back to the way it was even if I have to steal a row abot and row myself over to germany to do it. As for asking if girl fairies flirt with the guys yes they do because the one day I angered another guy fairie, slightly, buy paying almost no atention to him and just to his GIRLFRIEND. So the should answer you question.

Well, as I allready said, I'm Po Ghillian and Ghillian is about to get Laveny as his girlfriend, too I think.

Long ago, in an age where the world was still young, halflings did not have female form. But over the course of many ages, the world bore a womanly variation of the halfling. And so it came to pass that those who wore the garbs of men donned dresses and giggled. The age of Dual Gendered Halflings was upon us.

My point: We never used to have a female halfling character model. But I didn't see anyone saying that there should be no female halflings because of it. And the reason is simple: Everyone knows there are male and female halflings, because of how it is written in every other story including them. Illarion nicked the halfling race. Now Illarion has nicked faeries, which in the vast majority of stories I have heard, there are male faeries as well as their female counterparts. In time, a male character model can be made. For now, just roleplay it as is. It would be ridiculous of the staff to leave faeries as a one-gendered species, especially since this is happening in the same way halflings happened.

I think it should be an all female race, though it's not horrible if it's not. Nothing should be decided based on the graphics.

I think there should be male fairies. Maybe it's because I play one, but I think male faries complete the whole thing.
