Player Disasters

I would like to begin this thread to inform people of 'unnatural disasters' which have befallen us, the players, in keeping us away from our beloved Illarion.

Since Wednesday Evening, my town, Saint Louis, Missouri, was hit by two sucessive storms, putting 375,000 people out of electrical power. I was one of them.

Since then, I have only been able to access forums with an older 'pitiful' laptop from hotel rooms, which couldn't possibly handle the 'Game' Illarion. This has put a damper on my ability to participate with such colorful characters IG as Dusty Bottoms, Alexander Dullblade or Rosy Bottoms. I apologize.

There is no estimated time of repair because this is the biggest power outage St. Louis has ever experienced, also during the hottest days of the year, and they are overwhelmed. They have even gathered power crew from other cities to assist. It may be days to a few weeks.

Until I have gained power back to my home, thrown out the spoiled food, and got my main computer working, I will only be able to participate through forums. Sorry.

I will return IG as soon as possible.

Thank you,
~Juniper Onyx~

grant,

i think that means things, that make you say "wow!"

dusty,

i feel with you. worst black out by storm i had to master was four days.
(pay atention to water! its the first, you will miss, and without electricity its easy cut of. fill your bathtube or somthing, that you at least can water your pot before it stinks)
at the moment it seems, that the danger in greenbriar passed by.
so you can concentrate on RL...

good luck,

korm

Going along with PO dusty's lead here i shall explain reasons for my recent and most likely inactivity; my father came home from the hospital on tuesday and has been given 3-6 months left to live. He is needed constant medical care and constant attention, obviously. So I won't be inciting revolts or leading training sessions on stephen very much. I will definately try to be on during coming events but no promises, if I indeed go the "tialdin" route, I will have stephen step down as governor and push forward someone else. I hope to avoid that because there is a lot of roleplay plots i intend on pushing forward that, at this moment, i see no other player capable of doing.

Anyways
Be good and safe
Sam

I know there is nothing anyone can really say or do to make things any easier... but for what it's worth, I'm here for you, if there's anything can do... even if that's just letting you rant for a while.

PO of Sam, I wish your father good luck. Dont worry he will alright. His life expectancy rates are just "Estimates". And dont worry about RP you can always play later. Be with your father.
Again Goodluck!

Until then,

Garett Gwenour,

i dont know you lad, but being somewhat older, i already buried both my parents.

so, take this councel:

forget roleplaying! your father is real. spend your time with him, let him tell stories or whatever.

if you are such a good player, like you think, youll make a comeback in the game anyhow.
but if you later get the feeling that you might have not done enough for your father, you never can make that up again.

dont behave like a gamejunky! show yourself, that you can be in real life the same responsable person, you impersonate ingame.

korm, who did not enough...

Good luck Sam, and forget about Illarion for a while. It can wait, your father can't.
