i want to brew cider but it doesn't appear in the menu when i use the cooking spoon in front of a barrel. Do i need to gain some skill by making green dye first? if so, this is a big waste of money because i can't use the green dye and nobody wants to buy it

it has to be a wine barrel and you use the barrel not the spoon, i had the same problem

Using the spoon is for cooking.

ok i am interested in making cider but have no clue what anybody is talking about when you talk about barrels and what not. please explain.

to make cider you need: 2 apples, one bucket of water, cooking spoon and one grey bottle
go to taven, stay in front of the wine barell, "use" barell and select cider
(must have apples, water, bottle in belt and cooking spoon in hand)
