Spirit Event Today.

I would just like to ask, what on earth the quest today concerning Nalzaxx, Misjilah and the spirits was all about?
Putting aside the moment the antics of the playerchar I think it was wholley unnacceptable.
I found it completely unfair for the players involved, myself included. Firstly why was I attacked magically by a GM character? I have enough problems with normal player characters concerning my role, let alone being beset by the GM's in utterly ridiculous settings? How am I meant to play my character when I can't log in for fear of being targetted by mysterious spirits I cannot do anything about?
If it wern't for my high magic stats I would have been clouded on the spot. There was no chance for my to defend myself, the GM did not respond to my #me's of praying, NOR my life tap of Misjilah and continued to hit me with lightning. I mean, what the hell?
Secondly and most importantly I want to bring up the issue of the 6 or so players you clouded COMPLETELY without warning with your overuse of the storm spell. It was not their fault some moron decided to cloud Misjilah, you did NOT have to retaliate by destroying them all, which I found completely unfair and am very pissed on their behalf. There was no chance to defend themselves, no warning, nothing even they had done wrong, they were watching a confrontation between myself and Misjilah.
Explaination please, this was frikkin ridiculous. And yes, I am aware which GM it was.
Sam, PO Nalzaxx

Be sure, GMs have the absolute overview about your health status and everything else.
You were totally safe. The damage amount is a somewhat fix value.
In the worst case, your Life Points would just have been increased before the second spell.

So, that's why everyone and their dog were clouded?

I do think he asked more questions.

Imagine the following situation.
You have a mage and a priest.
Both are kinda "dueling", both building up a LOT of magical energy. Just controlled and opposing each other, both quite powerful, both forces building up and up and up over minutes.
And then, there comes someone, just walking by, and suddenly puts a sword into one of the two.
See. Theres just somewhere all the energy must go...
(the attack was without any RP too, but thats a different part and is solved already.)

Just because someone didn't RP killing Misjilah, doesn't make it ok to cloud anyone without warning.
As Nalzaxx said, you could've !bc Misjilah's body begins to make a loud humming noise
Or some shit like that ...

There was no !bc, but a few simple Texts in the surrounding. That should be enough.
No further discusions.

Ok.....Ok...1. You should RP, 2. You should attack down to 'near cloud'. This way the player should RP being badly hurt.

I failed to see any. You struck us all to 50% life before using any texts.

*Noob player dies, Eric's char goes to 5/10 of health*
2 minutes later
#me strikes you with GM lightening

Indeed. As I was heading for the shop, another large burst of lightning clouded me.

Nalzaxx: I may not appear as one Misjilah, but it will take more to destroy me.
Lady Misjilah Mehialho: [anc] JUS QWAN
Someone (1191096047) looks a little confused
Nalzaxx: ....
Liles: ((Great to spoil the rp...))
Someone (172043462): (( O.o ))
Someone (1153599598) glares at the madness.
Someone (1285033099) shakes his head
Liles: ((Thanks a real bunch there hero...))
Someone (1285033099): Quite boring
Someone starts with a mystical formula.
You hear: [anc] JUS SOLH DUN ORL QWAN
Someone (1285033099) looks up
Someone (1191096047) sighs and shakes her head
Someone (1153599598) winces at the light.
Liles is blown back
Someone starts with a mystical formula.
You hear: [anc] JUS SOLH DUN ORL QWAN
Someone (1285033099)notices he is in the ground
Someone (1153599598) falls over.
Someone (1191096047) looks down at herself
Someone starts with a mystical formula.
Someone (1285033099) pulls himself up
You hear: [anc] JUS SOLH DUN ORL QWAN
Can someone please point out the warnings to me?

Wouldn't you run if you saw someone get knifed in the middle of the street? I don't know about you people, but I played Sess how he would generally react to a murder. He kept his distance and stared dumbly at the event.
I don't know much of the story behind Nalzaxx and Misijah, but it's something to do with the cult or some other form of dark magic, right? The second I saw the first lightning bolt hit Nalzaxx, I knew it was unsafe and therefore stood far away. Why no one fled for their lives, I do not know. Probably because they knew a GM was behind it.

1 strike killed no one, as far as I know. RUN FOR THE HILLS after one; magic has a notorious reputation of being casted over and over and over and over again.
If nothing else, we've learned that not even the GM's can be entrusted with our lives.
PS. Thanks, too, for the quote showing us how everyone felt it was fine to burst into OOC when something strange happened.

I think its an exaggeration to say EVERYONE died. Some did and some didn't.

By the way, I died after the JUS QWAN I casted.

Does it always need ten or twenty warnings after such a simple and somewhat clear situation to make people run ?
Of course, you would logically loot a body which got just hit by a giant thunderstorm, right...

By the way, when I was 'blown back' I was running away. And then poof, i'm dead...

No, from what I saw, the split was maybe 60%-40% (dying - living).
70%-30% percent if we are generous.

I died while trying to fecking run away, that's all that pees me off.

I would just like to point out Liles is a temple member and so was completely justified in standing where he did.
And besides, there was nothing to indicate the spectators were in any danger, it was between Nalzaxx and Misjilah and no-one else was targetted.
