Tavern catastrophe

okay, i am really pissed.
Today i saw really the most asshole rp ever from players ingame. while we tried to have a nice roleplay event, and have fun roleplaying it out, again and again players meant to come with their chars and annoy us. again and again they come and disturbed the roleplay, disturbed us all, just because they meant to make a show. to be central of all!
And than even some defs come and start flooding the area with messages because they try to fix the trader right than when we have a roleplay event at the tavern!
That whole thing destroyed my roleplay fun in illarion for the next month!
a "Thank you" for their ingame behaviour that destroyed a nice roleplay evening to:
Stephen Rothman
Arameh
Gra'able
The goblin woman #mes that she is an incredible hot and sexy goblin with huge tits
And that devs who were disturbing everything with their damn trader messages that flooded the room!
That was the worst i saw in a long long time. You destroyed with your behaviour something that was meant to be wonderful roleplayevening, and you destroyed with your behaviour the roleplay fun of many other players!
Such behaviour got gm punished in the past!
There was once a non written rule that noone shall destroy other players fun and roleplay with their own roleplay and behaviour. the mentioned chars and their players broke that more than enough. they destroyed everything!

Erm, the goblin thing is a little...odd. But with the others, what exactly happened?

we should get punished because our characters got mad that gloin decided to kick them out for no reason and so refused to let you have a good time?
i thought that was roleplaying? Maybe if you want to have an exclusive event for only people you like you shouldn't hold it in the middle of a town?

While we tried to have a merry evening in the tavern with drinking, singing and dancing they came in with their chars, started to annoy others, make jokes about them, started to insult the other chars, disturbed it with their behaviour, and destroyed with that a roleplay evening that would have been a nice event.
Without real reason...just to be the centre of everything...there was no reason and need of them to behave like that and disturb like that! they could have let us a nice and fun rp evening. but no...they had to be important with their chars and disturb and annoy everything and destroy the event with it!

I have to admit, it was the most depressing event ever.
It's quite sad when people start logging out of the game because of some really annoying happenings.
I think that a lot of what was going on, was absolutely unnecessary and it's a pity that a few people really try to get an event running, and it turns out like that.

Stephen was palying gra's concience, Gra is dumb, Gra beleived Stephen, so he was told to ruin the event...So....thats is RP....And dont leave pwease!

Actually, what you are describing now could just as well be possible. I have had that happen for me before, and these things can happen. Misjilah was about to walk in and blow you all through the tavern because she was mad about the curse, and that her perfect body got befouled.
These things happen. I can understand your frustration, but unless they are absolutely leaving their character reasoning and background and usual character, then I find it perfectly fine.

Rothman, if I said what I want to say then I would be banned.
I've seen much idiotic roleplay from you, but today takes the cake.
Do me a favour and never play again.

Now if that would have been an event led by a GM, something like that surely wouldn't have happened.
Because I think, that some people just lack some respect towards players.
How about just a glint of ooc-consideration. That people try to have some good roleplay, and that players actually *do* such an event for other players. And it turns into hell like that.
It's a pity. Actually, it's really sad...

Thats exactly what they did! stephen flew around as fairy and started poke, slap and insult others and annoy everyone! Arameh grunted and spoke like a goblin and also insulted others!
damn...your body got changed, not your mind and your character!

Shut up....Seriously, its all roleplay, ok.....And all teh chars that destroyed it had a reason, being pissed off with it because of them, and the curse.

*nods* Your last sentence holds more than truth. Stephen hugged me. >_> That was kind of odd yes.

You don't understand that you destroyed with that the roleplay for everyone other? That you destroyed their fun at the game?
Every roleplay that destroyes the fun of other players is considered bad roleplay and should be handled by a gm. so it was in earlier days of illarion!

Your only damn reason was to show off and make yourself the center of things. You know, you COULD have stopped it rafter the first time, but NOOOO
You had to come back, and back, and back...

And you better shut it for a change, because whatever leaves your mouth is entirely bullshit (99,9 percent of the time, with a margin of 0,1 percent). In this case it is all roleplay yes, but is it roleplay in honour of your char's usual behaviour, background, way of speaking or the likes? I think not.

You have the understand the players behind it too. They tried to make an event, they worked for it and planned things.
I think it's understandable when some of us (like me) are sad now. And clearly disappointed.

Gra'able would have done ti anyway, his meeting was in there, and I doubt you would have left (players who were at the event)

my character was never told how/why he got changed. i logged on and he was a fairy. I was not told how to roleplay it. Infact I was never told he was officially related to the chao priest. So what can I roleplay? He was hit by a stronger curse then the other people because unlike the others when he went to sleep he did not turn back.
So I roleplay, he is cursed by a stronger spell so HE changes, his habits must change.
And am I Sorry for playing stephen as an annoying fairy? LOL no I haven't had so much carefree fun ingame in ages.

well then...
I hope you all have had your fun on the costs of those who tried to run an event.
I hope you all feel really good now...
good job.

YOU had fun, but while YOU had fun you destroyed the fun for all the others in the tavern. who wanted to have a nice roleplay event which they planned for months!
Having roleplay fun on the cost of the fun of others IS nothing we want to see ingame. It IS something a GM can punish or handle it

Um....all we tried doing is RP....i.e Stephen being Gra's Concience.....The goblin and her boyfriend Arameh (Goblin)

So carefree that you stopped caring for the rp of others.
Is that finally a reason to ban you? Forever?

Evilvel, I would really like to know why you have such seemingly deep seeded hatred for me. It appears that this 45 minute event has sent you off. Please PM what I have done in the past to earn your scorn.

15. Emotes
Actions of a character should be stressed by emotes. Emotes are describing only visible actions and states. Power emotes, which have effects on other characters and don't give them the opportunity to react are prohibited (e.g. "#me killed the dwarf").

Not entirely true.

I want to add one more thing.
I can't imagine anyone gets punished for what happened. But there is one thing I want to recommend warmly.
We are a community. We play a multiplayer online game. I think it would hurt no one to show consideration. And I mean everyone with that.
Of course it's important to stick to your character concept and of course we all want to have fun. But I guess, it's not that hard to spend a single thought on an action before you do it.
Do I totally destroy someones fun by it? Is it worth that I do it though?
We are trying to play together. And so I guess it's not very helpful, if we be so much egoistically, that we don't care if we ruin another players fun, as long as we have our own.
Thank you...

If this was supposed to be such fun for everyone, why was my character asked to leave, for doing nothing more than sitting there? You want to be all helpful and fun-for-everyone, don't kick people out of the fun for no good reason.
And the reason four of us returned, is the elf/goblin lady came back saying she had been attacked in the tavern, and then dragged outside. Funny, but I imagine that if one of your characters reported something like that, and nothing was done because 'there was an event going on!' you would have thrown a fit for that, too.
So, tell me, who's the one complaining about 'me, me, me'?
