I am sad to announce that I must leave Illarion soon. I will try to be back as quick as possible, if i return at all. I must make for the land of Azaryth, where the ring was forged. There are many things that I seek answers to, and I feel that that land is the only place that can bring me these answers.
I will not leave yet, for I must learn more before I travel. I do not know exactly when I shall leave, but I expect it will be sometime around a month from now.
In my absence, Inioch Hope and Roke will run the School of Combat. In the event that I do not return, I will pass on my command to those two permanately. I will leave my belongings to my friends.
If I do not return, be weary, for the ring will have fallen into the hands of the Wizards of Azaryth, and they may be hostile now.
I do hope to see everyone after the quest if completed.

Since I am not needed here for the moment, I will try to leave at a convenient time. But my preparations are not yet complete, so I cannot leave yet.

The island of Illarion is falling apart around us...it seems so many are leaving. Is there any end to all this madness and chaos? I wish to know these answers, but I guess nobody can tell me.

Take care Astral, my friend.

I suppose most people are leaving.... Lately I have not been able to speak with my friends, or do anything too great, so I think that I should leave on that note, as long as more things do not happen before then.

After much searching in the library, I have found an old record from the Kings of Azaryth:
Year 161, Eleventh Day.
Today was a graciously pleasant day. I walked many leagues under the glowing sun today. About my finger lay the ring of the Azarythan* Kings, Glendeur. It sparkled wildly in the bright rays of the sun. I walked slowly along the shore of the ocean, pleasant as can be, when suddenly I was encountered by a pack of ruffians. They were tall, clad in leather jerkins, and in their hands were deadly broadswords. The ring became very tense, and it ceased to glitter. It turned a shade of red, like it was being warmed, but felt no warmer than it had been before. The leader of the ruffians stepped forward, and the ring quivered. He raised his sword, when suddenly the ring slid off my finger into the open water. I at once felt bare, for it was as if it had grown close to me. <the ink is smeared by what appears to be drops of water> I... I cant write anymore... I cant.... I cant... <the writing trails off>

Another entry I have found concerning (supposedly) the same King:
Year 161, Twenty-Fifth Day:
It has been a full fourteen days since the ring slipped into the sea. I do not know how i have managed without it, for it has dominated my thoughts ever since. During the long cold nights, I get little or no sleep. I have sent many armies in search of these ruffians, but they still have not been located. There are many places in which they could be already, after fourteen days. I wish the ring was back.... I wish it was back.... I wish it was back.... <the writing trails off once again>
I am still searching for more pieces like these, for I do believe they shall aid me in my quest.

Year 161, only 14 days apart, and still the effect of the ring has not worn off this king... Perhaps when the effect does wear off, that is if it ever does, then we may find out his identity, since he always trails off before he signs his name....
