Kevin heads for the camp site Stephen told him about. After walking for a while he arrives there. He seemed tired... having looked around for a few seconds before heading toward the nearest naldor tree. He uses his hands to push away the branches.
"Nothing..." He spoke to himself with a low voice. He then heads for one of the other nearby naldor trees, repeating the same action...

Stephen's campsite, a few logs in a square shape a cooking pot in the center and a few trees closing it in. A very comfortable spot with a nice view of the Three Finger Bay and western coast.
As Kevin works his way through the next Naldor tree he finds a hole bored into the tree, usually covered by thick branches. As he reaches into he feels a leathery hard object, he fits his fingers around it and pulls it out.
He finds a leather bound book with golden letters on the cover reading, "The Tragedy of Laeroath".

Kevin takes the book and sits down on one of the logs. He carefully opens it and looks at the first page.

The first page of the book is a plain white piece of paper, however it appears there is a short note written on the side in very elegant, confident writings, "Do not forget".

Kevin turns the page and finds himself looking at an epic drawing taking up both pages, it is off a desolate landscape and a very battle weary elf seemingly on his last steps. The elf's blonde hair is matted and dirty, his weapons are rusty and his armor is cracked and broken. The landscape is that of black chared hills. The overall picture seems incredibly alone and sad.

Turning the next page Kevin sees the story then, it reads....

Herein lies the tale of Laeroath, noble elven warrior whom fought for thousands of years against evil only to falter and fall when his kinsman needed him the most. The tragedy of Laeroath is one of pain and greif, of self doubt and self hate.

Laeroath fought many battles against many demonic forces and was praised and respected by all elven men and women. He is courage was never questioned, his loyalty never in doubt. He was wise and faithful to all he loved.

Yet even with all these traits, even this elven warrior who was adored by many, could never adore himself. This respected elven warrior whom was praised by all could never praised nor respect himself. His tragedy was not brought on by any demon, any enemy, it was brought to him by himself, through his lack of willingness to tell others his fears and his doubts because he felt if he did they would fear and have doubt.

He kept all his true feelings, all his true emotions bottled up within himself for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years. Wearing always a mask to hide the true Laeraoth, he was never truely known and felt he would never be truely loved if he was not who the others wanted him to be. At last the emotions burst out and he harmed many of his kinsman because they never let him talk, so he felt, they never let him express himself.

Laeroath eventually took his own life because he lived in fear and greif. Fear for what he felt inside himself. Greif for what he had commited. His tale stands as testiment to the fact that anyone could fall victim to self hate, even the most adored and loved of warriors. His tragedy is that of one who did not take action soon enough, at last when he did it was too late and self destructive.

Never fall prey to the same pitfalls as Laeroath, never lose hope, never forget for if you forget, his tragedy will have been for nothing.

Kevin's face became teary when reading that, it was exactly what he did... But for him it wasn't to late yet. He could still attone for his deeds, his mistakes. And so he planned on doing. He renewed a vow he made long ago on that day: "To ensure that justice prevails, and never attack the innocent." The Oath of the Knights. He got up and put the book back were it belonged. He sat around the camp for a while and soon fell asleep on the log. He had a dream that night... A dream about the times before he left. About Liles, his old friend and training partner, and about the lich wars. Not about the fighting, but about all the people hiding in the castle, praying to their gods for help... And he was among that help... If there's anything he learned in those violent wars is that, no matter what some people may say many people would be thankfull for his and all other protection. Upon waking he got up and said to himself "One more day..."
