Having recently encountered a scorpion in a scene reminiscent of the old Illarion, my character was poisoned. Perhaps it's because I have a low constitution ( 8 ), but my character was down from 9/10 health to dead in roughly 11 seconds. This seems a bit rapid. About a minute and nineteen seconds too rapid.

Or, the "You have been poisoned" message could simply be replaced with a helpful, "You are [smiled]" disclaimer. (I think we all know what you are smiled means.)

I think its probobly getting multi-poisoned that did you in. My char was unaffected by 1 poisoning (15 con). After 200 or so monsters it got redundant beating the hell out of them, I figured the townspeople could help themselves.

Also, I found myself really hurt badly because of the poison as well. A mere scorpion was owning me.... I didn't have armor, I guess that somehow determines how much damage poison does?

korwin is right. i was fighting against a skorpion and he poisened me one time. i used 3 healing potions but the poision didnt stop and i died. when a mummie poisioned me i take two scond to be ok. it seems that there is a bug.

Well, what you have to do, is as soon as you get poisoned think "Oh Shit" and leg it as fast as you can to Varshikar only to find you don't have that ever so useful antidote you now wish you'd kept hold of.

Then you have to bust out the portal to Trollsbane and run screaming through the town saying "Has anyone got an antidote" only to be told in a calm and non-chalant fashion that, no, nobody does, and if you don't mind they would like to get back to their tailoring.

So then you drag your sorry ass as fast as possible to the hospital crawl on your knee's up to the merchant, whisper woefully that you'd like an antidote. Only to find that you never unequipped your mace, and by the time you've switched to a potion.....you're already dead. *sigh*

Or you could buy a bunch of antidots BEFORE you go out hunting monsters

Or carry a mage in your bag

poison is very hard to learn, it does absolutely nothing when you start with it, but once you get to the higher lvls it gets more effective

this makes me laugh too. I know Ive said this alot everywhere, but try having one constitution point. the poisen takes out a third of your health bar at a time.



and the hardest part so far about poisening, is no one sells them....
