To the players of unliked characters!

This is to the players of the characters many characters just can't stand, or find annoying, or just that their style of play tends excludes them from the normal 'good RP' praise. Such as:

Samantha
Stephen
Athian
Salathe
Revlen
Prince Jierdan
Fooser
Devrah

And so many others!

It can be a difficult and thankless job to play a character most people don't like.

Well... here is your thank you!

Thank you!!!

Everyone feel free to add your own favorite 'despised' characters!

I don't see how many of those, such as Salathe, are despised.

I was going mostly off of having heard people grumble about how they can't stand a certain char.

There are a couple on there I don't feel that way about myself. :)

Yeah, how can Salathe be despised...but not the ever bitchy Irania? People here are so weird.

I didn't mean this as some sort of 'anti-populatiry' contest. And I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was trying to give a pat on the back to a few players who I thought, from what I had heard, might not be getting the thanks they should for *skillfull* RP.

That's all.

Just a thanks.

They don't need a thank you...they're more deserving of simply running Illarion for themselves.

Since i rarely interact with one of the chars mentioned above, i wish to mention Silas Farron - one more time. :D

Furthermore i don't think, it's a thankless job at all, since playing "villains" can be special fun too. There's a german aphorism, which points it out very well (No translation right now, sorry.): Ist der Ruf erstmal lädiert, lebt es sich ganz ungeniert.

But you're right, NirAntae - they deserve special credit. Without them, the world of Illa would be far less colorful than it is. Also from my side: Thank you very much!

Why like a character that has to break the bad and unfortunate news to everyone that Bjolmur and the undear, are indeed bad things (and wasing three hours of their life doing so). Even though that only takes common sense and a little reading. And even though most people supported more background story being added when having no clue that the current stuff has in it (I feel sorry for Damien and co.).

Strange topic... :?

To be considered as a "despised" person just be an arrogant, attention attracting arse .

lolol - this is silly, it is not that hard to play a character that is not liked. So long as you don't fall in love with your character, (like it, respect it, etc but do not worship it), you have no problem when people don't like him/her.
Either way, I thank you for being nice and worrying about us players :P

There is a difference between being appreciated as a player, and being appreciated as a character.

How can you dislike them!!!!!!

don't make me kill you Arist

the people on this list are all good rpers in my opinion because they don't give a danm what the public thinks of them. very stand alonish people in that respect and makes them totally fun when interacting together.

when to people with that same mentality meet fun almost always ensues

I don't think I find any characters annoying. If their obnoxiousness is truly RP, then there is no reason to be annoyed. My character may be annoyed, but it shouldn't have anything to do with ME being annoyed. The only ones to be annoyed at are the players of the characters, for me at least. Sorry. And actually, most of the ones I have in mind aren't even on the first post's list. But the most annoying characters I can think of are annoying because they are... um.... poorly-played annoyances. I see them inevitably standing on the precipice between an actual "ingame character" personality and a virtual channel online that's only true purpose is to milk out more public attention where attempts in RL have failed or are somehow insufficient.

Well-played annoyance characters can actually be some of my favorites. Annoying players behind annoying characters? Priceless. Because I'll be more than happy to let you have them for dirt cheap :? .

Taylor growls, much like an animal would.

Hehe! He growls like a Giraffe!
