Feedback: New client and map update

Okay, the map update isn't online yet, but I want to say that the new daytimes, the dragon watch and the new height-levels ("#me is really dancing on the tables") are great!
Are weather effects in there, too?
Do low temperatures do something to you (some players seem to "lose food")?
And will the map update bring us the awesome graphical smooth effects?
PS: Is some kind dynamic light for nightly fires possible (and the deactivating of transparent flames)?

Yeah, my computer did an did an update for the newest client changes and I see nothing different about it at all. No watch, no nothing.
Is it just not visible?

Same here, no dragon thing.
Though I can walk through the tables, and see the shading inside buildings, so...mh.

What do ya guys mean with "dragonwatch"?

Ha! I found the clock. I just clicked on the food/health/mana bar. But...i'm afraid that I don't understand the clock.

This may not have anything to do with the update but for me things are not working properly, I can no longer pick cherrys, apples, cook, farm, or even fish. if this is just me please let me know.

In English:
1. Press F1
2. Read!
And now in German:
1. F1 drücken
2. Lesen!
Sorry, but that's all the help I have for things that have been documented in the handbook since December 2005. There is an alternative, though: If you don't like nice handbooks, it is also in the readme.txt!

See I was a good boy, and the first thing I did was read the manual and adjust my settings appropriately.

F7 does it, too.
The Dragon Watch:
- Left: actual date
- Top ("inside" the dragon"): daytime (graphical with wandering sun and moon)
- Down: temperature (the plain green for warm temperatures (?) isn't optimal, but the snow crystal for frost is great)
- Right: Year
A season view would be nice, too. Maybe via a tool tip on the months?
PS: I also like that the log-in message is now much shorter and does not display the very first text ("talk to the man"...) anymore.

I have seen Troll's Bane and the new surrounding rivers so far. Time for some more feedback:
- The NPCs' positions haven't changed since the map update, so some ones have improperly positions. And you can walk through them.
Updated:The NPC activities still have wrong names, e.g. "Holy shire eats a fish". And some NPCs do not repeat on "Hallo" (Sorgan) or don't do anything (Zathrot).
- Many road signs are out-dated, now at a wrong place or empty (there are still some signs from the time before the last update).
- Trees have fruits, but you can't collect them (because it is winter, but then it is a graphics bug).
- The new brown chests for everyone are great! And it's also great that the old container system for them and your equipped bag is back (= you can open the same chest twice). But unfortunately this is not possible for the yellow personal depots (so it is not possible to open two bags in your depot at the same time).
- Library: If I choose a book, it falls down to the ground on the other side of the book shelf. And reading does not seem to work (if I use a book, only a description appears).
- Mmmhh... I don't know if I like all the new water. The rivers could become an annoying obstacle. Maybe place more bridges or better: create some fords (or make tree trunks and rocks "walkable").
- I don't know if it's new, but the rocky wall in the wine cellar is great. But why was the awesome animated Grey Rose Banner removed?
Updates:
- Okay, it is more realistic but also a bit annoying that it's darker inside houses at day. I would prefer different brightness only in the "dark half" of a day cycle.
- Very small but nice: The "[Server]"-Prefixes in server messages.
More Updates:
- The Glas Furnace (?) was stolen out of the workshop.

Well theres a little glithc with the night and day thing, sorry if thsi already was posted but it changes time only when you click f7 or on your health bar, so it wont change on its own, you have to catch up with it.

The signposts seems to be misplaced now. There are at least two in water (east and west of Trolls bane)

I like the snow. Dunno whether it is a new thing, but I saw it the first time after the version was updated. Is there only snow in winter, or will the snow stay at that specific place all the time?

I personally, don't like the snow. Purely because it moves when the character does.
Is there any way to make the snow fall according to the tiles, as opposed to according to the player?
If not, I'll just shut up...

You saw falling snow, the weather effect?! Cool...
I don't know what you really mean but it sounds strange.
PS: Nice animated fountain in Varshikar.

Yes, that seems to be correct.
After I hit F7 it becomes darker immediately...

I do not mean the snowing itself, I mean the snow that lays on the ground. The ground texture, whatever it is.

Okay, you character stands on stools and white chairs like it would stand on tables. so you might want to fix that so people "sit" in them.

Darn update ran off with my map and name files, lol. But Trollsbane is very nice now! Much different from the traditional... old layout I'm used to.

I like the new layout of trollsbane too. The shopkeepers are consolidated and make some sense now.
I also "love" the wine celler! Great job guys!
The only change to Greenbriar I noticed are stools around the kettle and a change in the trees found. I'll keep lookin for those 'extra' features on the briar I heard about.
I cant wait to explore the map again, lookin for what else has changed!
