I despair.

*agrees with Jeremy*

Killing is always a force and forced RP is a rule break. I learned that the hard way, too (thanx samantha). But i did not emote to kill somebody, i just forced, while discribing someones past, for an RP. You can emote to hurt somebody, dash somebody, to life danger damage, but not killing. because the death of a char is always the descission of the PO of the the dieing char. And if your char makes an challanging sentence like "Baurus or death", it is quite logical, that the kidnapper, which does not want to loose his victim, will take your challenge with choosing "death". That doe not mean, the PO wants his char to die. That means, something like try me, i'll take your challenge. Got it?
Kay then apologize for that bad-ass forcing and do not do that again ayy?

@ Ripper: Just solve this Problem with a wonder. Just emote that you survived the throat cut. Because of a the fast healing of a elven mage, which doesn't no why you were hurt, but just wanted to save your life. Most elvens wants to save life... Kay? Ayy.

Just a few points I'd like to atempt to make below.

1.I agree with almost all that, but was just wondering if anyone spoke OOC, like to ask if you could slit his throat?

2.I also dislike this aspect of the game because a person that would normally slit the man's throat would have to act OOC for the PO's sake.

3.Not all deaths are forced RP.

i didn't said all deaths... well, if i did i didn't meant...
i meant, every char that is killing another char, without agreement, that, after a fight, or similar situations, the other char dies, is forced RP..
relly hard force RP..

My oppinion

I'm pretty sure that's a Marine motto.

Can you two kindly take to this issue via PM'ing, rather than trying to embarrass one another on the forum? You both can come to a conclusion easier that way, and nobody loses credibility.

He has a point, when you said you'd rather take death, that gives him permission to kill you, so it isn't forced RP.If He just ran up and slit your throat, that would be forced RP, but he did give you a choice...so, choose the one that doesn't kill your character next time =)

We had OOC yes. I asked if he wanted an RP battle , he agreed. And when I slit his throat, he could have done "#me ducks and tries to hit the man"

A #me slits his throat is completely and utter forced. A #me aims a slash at the man's throat on the other hand is not. So please, describe to us the exact wording used.

just a quick thing i grabbed from my file.. it when something like this

Someone (): Baurus or death?
w:Someone (): (( Ok ))
Someone (): drop the axe!
Dethrill: Death.
Someone () slices his throat
Someone (): Your choice.

When i rethink it i dont know if that is a force or not.. but before it he just outa no where came and did this

Someone (): Give Baurus over.
Someone (): even though I am no friend of his.
Dethrill: Baurus is no where near now.
Someone (): where is he.
Dethrill: Give me the money and youll get him back.
Someone () lunges foward with his very good serinjah-sword at his neck

that is where the force was.

and that is where it was not fair
