Did they hibernate for the season or something? I was trying to get my character some ham, but I can't find the pigs anywhere.

WE NEED THE PIGS TO LIVE!

Actually, I kinda like this. Why not have the pigs die out sometimes, and make some players have to go hunt for random spawns of wild piggies in the meadows and forests? And wait several ingame weeks or months until more pigs can be delivered to Trollsbane. This would encourage some roleplay, more use of the world map, and possibly even cooks for those who don't want to go hunting ;)

No, it just removes the only training spot for new characters to my eyes, and the easiest way to get food and money, while not encouraging anything.

It's the main source of money, food and training for the new players. One of the first things that happened to me was that Liles took me pig hunting and now I do it to everyone else. It's like a tradition that's been destroyed.
Liles: Lets start with piggys
Liles: Follow me.

William Elderberry: i'm showing him the pigs
Giamorphus: thank you william

Kevin Lightdot: well easyest to start is pigs

William Elderberry: lets kill pigs

Igrine Redbeard: lets practice with your dagger on the pigs will then laddy

Ahadri: I do kill pigs.

William Elderberry: dyou want to go kill some pigs
Jon Childs: sure

Jon Childs: lets go pig hunting

Someone (X): forgive my stupidity, but i need a guide to the pigs

Someone (X): can some one please tell me where to find some pigs?

William Elderberry: to the pigs!!!!!!!

William Elderberry: lets go to the pigs
Sagarous: ok

William Elderberry: I'll kill some pigs
William Elderberry: Do you want to come?
Varg Urunkar nods.

William Elderberry: Do you want advice on how to make money?
William Elderberry: Pigs my friend
William Elderberry: Pigs

William Elderberry: Go and kill the pigs
William Elderberry: just follow the path south here

Ziromanth: if you don't mind I'll go with you

Lancastrian: die pig
As you can see, most of these scenarios started with there being a newbie to Illarion or inexperianced people.

Yes, and there are also flies, wolves, goblins, bandits and trolls, and that's just from what I know relatively close to Troll's Bane. Not to mention I chased a rabbit around for almost ten minutes without managing to land a single blow... those buggers are *fast*.

Hardly suitable for a character who is learning the very most basics of swordplay.

There is a big group of deers in the greensbriar forrest. they deliver ham, and they are easy targets. and nowhere between trollsbane and greensbriar is any danger

Deer and rabbits can't be seen by people on the old client, so I can no longer earn any money, as Will has no particular skills except lute, which doesn't make much income. We need the pigs back. Plus with the new battle system it's harder than ever to kill these monsters.

Also another thing is that pigs are the only sorce of leather in the game, and the only why tarlorys can make a living now that the sheep have dissapared.

Pigs are spawning south of TB just fine. I was just over there a little bit ago. They are not spawning nearly as much though.

yeah, I wouldn't even consider going out in the wild. badnits and wolves are all faster than me, and can kill me as soon as they get withen one square. not only that, but they way they follow you makes it so even if you were running at the same pace, they will still trap you.

I was there for about 15 mins when I posted my "Nooo we need the pigs back" post near the start and there were no pigs spawning. The gms probably fixed it.
