how do you use a shovel with the sand. im holding the shovel seleting the shovel then the sand but nothing is happening

Holding the shovel in your hand? Then shift-clicking on the shovel, then, still holding shift, you click the sand? And then let go?
Because that is what works for me.

Now, if you are looking specifically for something (>.>), you may not be digging in the right area. Which is why no new object appears.

dont you need somthing to hold the sand in i.e. a bottle?

i have tryed what you said and it will not work

i think you have to stand in front of an stone. standing close and then click on the side of the sand, near the stone.

I don't know nothin about this either, does it really go along with your mining skill? and what else can you find besides sand?

You need: sand, pott ash, wooden shovel, and glass blowing pipe to glass blow. Have glass blowing pipe and wooden shovel in hands, sand and pott ash in belt. Stand in front of a glass oven, and use the glass blow pipe.

I had PM'ed the PO with that information.
I could not remember however where to purchase the wooden shovel, as I acquired mine so long ago.
