A lot of us have mentioned a RL meeting for North American players, but maybe we should start actually trying to plan it?

We could choose a date and location somewhere that's sort of equidistant for everyone, and start planning for it. Maybe it won't be for 6 months or a year, but we could start planning it.

What does everyone think? Yes? No? Any ideas for locations?

Maybe near the end of summer, most free time then.

Actually, that isn't a bad place. I could see the Festival that takes place up there every year as well.

only place i could would somewhere within grand rapids, michigan, as i cant really travel anywhere easily.

For example, I could carpool with anyone in New England.

That depends, is anyone willing to come to grand rapids, and get me, then drive me back afterwards, without getting gas money because i am a poor loser? Also, There's convincing my parents, though that might not be too hard.

I have checked hotel rates for various dates and here is what I have come up with.

Days Inn Harrisburg
Hershey/Harrisburg East Area
7848 LINGLESTOWN ROAD
Harrisburg, PA 17112

For any weekend in August it will run about $60 a night for each 2-bed room. This means we could double up for $30/person/night, which is reasonable.

I think this is the best location, because any further North and the hotel rates skyrocket, any further South will alienate the Canadian players, and something out west is really not practical since the majority of the North American players are East Coasters.

If this were to be the location, with a tentative date of August 25-28, how many would be able to go?

oh yeah, forgot about hotel stuff, well i should havew a job over the summe,r but im 17, so someone would need to claim to be a guardian or something for me . So yeah, my chances are goign are slim:

-Not likely my parents wil llet me get drivne by, let alone stay ina hotel with peopel I've never met in rl (catch-22 isnt it..)

-Need a ride, and i dont think many people around me play illarion.

-As said above, would need someone (i think 21) to be approved by my parents to allow me to stay in their hotle room, so not likely


Id say if im lucky, 5-10% chance? The date is good, but i think school starts off right after then though.

I'm game. Give me a date and i'll do my best to make it there ^^ I'd have to fly there( Sorry, Not taking a 3 day road trip in a car that gets 12 to the gallon -.-), So someone would have to pick me up at the airport <.<

my precentage of going is about 75-80%
