I work really hard to get this skill. Everyday i train and train hoping to get it. I know some people that i can beat easily that have dodge and i don't. How do they get it and not me? I mean thats pretty stupid.

Maybe it's not pretty stupid? Maybe you just don't know how.

So now,
Find out IG

EDIT: Also, by train and train i'm hoping your not indicating powergaming?

Then ask some more.

Little hint

The skill is called 'Dodge' and what is needed to be dodged more than sword, axe or hammer?

But when your trying to learn do can you have armor on?

are you able to dodge with a armour?

Hey guys. Why must we talk about IG-issues ooc?

I dont want to fight against a new powergamer who has all skills...

I'm not a powergamer it's just when i do fight and beat someone and they say they have a skill that i don't and i'm stronger thats kind of wierd.

okay that previous post about powergaming and ooc issues has sent me into a rampage.

You do not ask someone Ingame, "How cna I learn to dodge?" that is not a logical question. In real life you would learn to dodge as you fight normally. But in this game the mechanics of it make it so you do not learn how to dodge when you fight against swords/axes etc. You must fight against arrows or puncture weapons.

ANd it is not powergaming. Powergaming is learning a skill in a way your character would never logically try to learn it. Think sitting by flies for hours/ hell even going to train at flies your character wouldn't do.

Learning a skill in a logical way like fighting mummies/ other monsters is not powergaming. ANd I swear to god if someone gives another person in this closely knit community more crap about wanting to learn a particular skill and that person calling them a powergamer; I will cuss them out.

Yes we can dodge with an armor currently, Retlak dodges a lot .

I am a popular one aren't i?

I dont even train properly and i have high dodge, it really is random.

OK, personally; the first time i got DODGE was when i fought 2 mummies (Same time), and i was armed with a sword AND sheild AND with platemail..

AND it was about 4 days ago.

Does that mean anything?

That mean that everyone gets dodge one day. Just faster with certain conditions, but you werent in theses certain conditions, you just got dodge that moment, so it was nearly high enought so you learn it just before the fight.

ts a bit illogical though.

Why would i dodge if i have a shield?

(oh did i mention I ended up half dead anyway?)

i dunno, in previous fighting system you would dodge more with shields so you would learn dodge faster. new fighting system i dont think it works that way.

If you guys read the question you would have known what i was asking. I was asking how a weaker player knows skills that i don't and i'm stronger?

they did something that got those skills...

Thats not true at all, my char acheived 181(oldclient) dodge skill without ever fighting against either. Dodge is gained through...I don't know, ironically. I never found that I dodged anymore with a shield, and my char still doesn't dodge that much at all.

I still think this has flaws. I always wonder how one duel with me and I cap, Aremeh training for hours in a crypt or dueling and never caps. or how Retlak all of sudden is a master at dodging, or how I dodge better in full armour then in leather...

Yeah, dodge does not matter at all about armor, and it was supposed to, this needs to be fixed or light armors are as useless as in old system.

Edit : By fucking god's sake! Its ArAmeh!

Unusually Balamos lives much longer against Skeletons and Mummies in light leather armour than he does in his ElvenSilver. And he's inclined towards parry and not dodge. ?

Armor dosent change much right now, i had proposed something in fighting system topic but no one read it.

Ditto. I don't know where you get your information saying only puncture damage will increase your skill, but if thats true I've found a bug. I have gotton dodge skill only from monsters using slashing and conc weapons since the update.

i have noticed that Retlak's Dodge skills goes up faster than his parry...

Splendid! My parry has not gone up for months, i bet this is why.
