I just wanted to introduce myself to the community because i'm new ( Duh). I like the idea of the game about the all roleplay. I guess I could tell you a little about myself. Well I helped make a game around 4 years ago which did not stay up for to long. I tried to be a mod with the games Runescape, Endless Online, and Adventure Online. All that didn't work out for me so i guess i'm here now

I think I can become a good active player because I have a degree in litrature and can make really good stories up

Greetings outlander (guess where thats from). The developers, game masters, and players converse on a daily basis. Lo and behold, I am a developer, albeit a common player too. I think the main thing that attracts me to this rather simple game technically, is the possibilities. Really you can quite literally be just about anything you can think up with opportunity. Because of our small community, you can accually affect the game world, and be more than a clicking-machine with a big number over your head searching for phat l00t while maybe being a leader of a guild never truly having any mark on the game world. Its not like anyone takes down history of WoW or Runescape in-game developements. Kind of like a live-action novel being written in real time, your character will have relationships be it good or bad or neutral with other characters. Religion, good, evil, intrigue, quests, drama, action, bloodshed, crafting, we've got it all. Might want to read up on history and such. Also notice the attributes and classes thread stickies at the top of the newbies forum.

That is what I think I love best about this game. It is large, enough so that there is almost always *someone* online, but it is not so large that it has become 'impersonal'. There is a real, present storyline running through the entire game. Every person *can* affect the game. The GM's and mods are real players, and play 'normal' characters as well. If you have a question, it *will* be answered, to the best of the GM's/dev's/mod's abilities. I have never experienced another game that was so close-knit.
There is a downside to this; because the community *is* so tight-knit, and expect so much from one another, some have a habit of forgetting what it is to be a newbie. This can make it difficult to 'break out' into the game.
But don't fear... just keep asking people to help you, until someone does.
There are some of us who will drop almost *anything* to rush off and help a newcomer.

Well i don't think i will ask many questions because i am reading the manual and history about the game( Alot from the forums). But man you guys are pretty helpful. Thats another thing i like about this game because with Runescape and Endless it was all a bunch of Lol's and ty's. I hated that that's why i came to this game

. I have one question. Would it be good roleplay to a mage, druid, and a priest all in one character?

strat the game, do what you want, once you get use to it, you'll understand how it's kinda hard to do that. plus they're not implemented yet.

I know that but i meant Roleplay. I know magic is implented, i think Druidism is just with medicine right now and priest is roleplay. Is Alchemy implanted yet?

Alchemy is also in the beginning stages with things such as making cider

And potions are makeable.

im sure we will be hearing about you if you choose to become a druid, as for RPing them all at once, it would be very difficult, and when the systems come out i dont know if that will be able to be done in any way other than just RPing some of them. I would advise sticking to one for now, if you like more than one you can always make another character

I don't think its a good idea.. you see
Would you imagine a wizard, a great powerful wizard; going on his hands and knees looking for herbs?

or an evil warlock forcing others to get him herbs, or a nuetural wizard buying herbs from others? I can imagine that.

Due to the way the magic system works, you can only have 1 kind of magic. They are divided up to give each type of magic its own completely unique myriad of spells and powers. Because Alchemy is a crafting skill, not a form of "magic", anyone can do it. Attributes effect alot how good you can be at something, a nearly blind archer won't be particularly effective with a bow for example.

Currently only mage magic is implemented, and only recently was given to players. We will have to wait until those players' characters' are good enough to teach for any expansion apon the population of mages.
