Hello, I just thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself to the community. I started roleplaying on text muds and eventually found myself playing a game called Tibia. Which was quite great back in the old days, but now sadly it is just another slash and kill game. Oh I also played Furcadia for a little bit which was a great experience. Anyways I'm starting to ramble on heh, but I hope to join the community and have a great experience playing.

Furcadia is wonderful indeed yes.
Anyhow, to help you on your way:
http://illarion.org/community/forums/vi ... 38&start=0 <---Always handy to read, even if your roleplay is superb. Hell, even I learn new things from it highly often.
http://hugin.llsc.us/Illarion/main.html <---Great for learning the skills in Illarion, or if you are ever lost on the map or anything. Also handy for finding links or info on everything you need.
But seeing your first post, you seem mature, and probably already an experienced roleplayer in itself. So even if you do not visit the links, you will be able to find yourself anyhow. But still, I recommend it!
Welcome.

No, DON'T ask him for help. He'd ask you to make a new guild with him which will mix OOC an IC while copying things from books. Don't fall in with the wrong crowd. Fall in with the crowd comprised of people like Japheth, Arist and other competent people.

Alright. Stop. Right there.
Siegfried Schtauffen, if you have a problem with his explanation, PM him. It's not your place to say anything publicly anyways. There are mods for a reason and you should trust they handled the situation in the best way.
Karguk Inkathurg, it doesn't matter how it happened, it happened. If you wanted to explain for whatever reason, someone's intruduction thread is not the place to do so.
On topic: Welcome to Illarion, I hope you enjoy your stay.
