Other player characters tend to have some tools, if asked they might sell you, or at least tell your character from where they obtained thier tools.

my character got tons of pickaxes that he sell for around 10 coppers, and there is a shopkeeper that sells pickaxes, yes pickaxes not pick-axe remember, dont worry its easy to get 1, sorry i write like shit im not at home and that keyboard is crap

I went in as William and winged about how screwed up his life was and that noone listened to him and so Ladir says "Here is 30 coppers. Go to sam, buy a pickaxe and go to mine"
