Check in

Post by falco1029 »

As any of you left that knew me know, i havent been on since summer, excluding the one day i was on during thanksgfiving break a while ago. Im not planning to play yet, at least not until the new client, but I have some questions as to how things are going.

1. Has Magic been implemented yet? If not what's taking so long, marting told me sometime during the summer to expect a few weeks to a few months at most.

2. If it has, have bard and priest magic been added?

3. Has My main character (Ules) been missed ;)

4. Have I been missed ;)

5. Finally, has Illarion gotten enough player count lately to sustain the different towns, rather than making trollsbane the only real town to be in, and if so, is there any easy way to travel between them (meaning not wlaking for an hour)

1. Yes

2. No

3. I can't answer for the whole community, but a player gone is never really good ;(

4. Same

5. I dont know, I haven't been to many other towns. Possibly enough to have some in others from time to time.

In answer to five, the best-put answer would be no. I am assuming you would expect maybe 1 and a half or 2 times more the constant flow of people. At least, I would expect that much for there to be enough players to really make good use of all the different towns and the large map size.

If you're worried about downloading the current Illarion, fear the next one. Rumor has it that it's pretty download-intensive.

Yep, it's around the 30 megabyte mark. It's such high quality though and incredibly worth the download.

Mine in 59 seconds.
Anyhow, back to the point at hand.

1. Yes. And his name is not marting.

2. No.

3. Not by me.

4. Not in particular. You were gone so quickly.

5. Well, I think it has. People just need to get the Troll's Bane mentality out. And we have portal books, though I would not call them easy (or cheap for that matter =P)

Good new,s if you didnt see yesterday, i was able to get the download, my internet's working again, and i logged on. And i have it generally fast, it was just being buggy lately. 30 megs should be easy, ive downloaded 800mb demos before in a few hours.

i may go on a bit mroe today, but i have hw, teachers like doing that right before midwinter break :(

I have to disagree with your #5, Misjy-poo. Yes, people still gather in droves in Troll's Bane, but why wouldn't they? All the other cities are at the extreme ends of the map, practically. Imagine if you didnt have two portal books, one for there, and one back. XD

You could take 10 minutes to walk there.

10 minutes is too long to walk anywhere in this game. *g* I'd rather be RPing, or walk somewhere for a quest than just walk to another city for almost no reason.

Haha! I wasn't referring to you in any regard. :P That was part of RP. I just mean I'm not gonna say one day, "Hey, I'm bored as shit. I'm gonna walk to Vanima.. and I'll SWIM ACROSS LOLOROXXORZ" ;)
