How do you get runes?
I read the manuel an it says to read a book on runes and I did, but when I press ALT no runes appear.
Any help or advice?

The website's manual is out of date. The current way to learn magic is through the Magic Academy.

Go to the guild board of these forums or the magic academy forums to apply. Applying on a board is how you join, logging in just to be told ooc and ic nonsensically that you have to do that is a big waste of time.
