when i load the illarion client, excepting the playing area(appears black), everything appears on the screen...even the things that i type appear....i am visible to the people near me...i have tried things reported in the tech FAQ
1. loaded it from my directory and not the shortcut
2. checked the *.tbl files...there are three of them(they have the MS excel logo against them)
3. tried logging in a number of times.
please help me out

as of now ....i am playing illarion as a blind man ...a truly blind man who cant see anything...thx

This sounds pretty strange.

Check if there are all files, of the client in the folder.

GfxEffects.tbl
illarion.cfg
Illarion.exe
images.tbl
persons.tbl
tiles.tbl

This are the importaint ones.

If they are around, try to reinstall the client.

I also have this problem and when I reinstall it still comes up with a black screen

This sounds like you've tried to view .tbl files with Excel. When you right-click the file, and click "Open With..." is that file type checked to "always open with" Excel?

GfxEffects.tbl
illarion.cfg
Illarion.exe
images.tbl
persons.tbl
tiles.tbl
And...
Illarion.err

that must be the prob...i dont have the Gfxeffects.tbl file with me do i need to download the program again....and yeah ...i did try to view the files in excel but the *.tbl files are not selected to be always opened in excel.
