Vorschlag: Arztsystem - Proposal: medic system
( english follows soon )
Was meint ihr dazu?

Off topic: Wer nebenbei gute Ideen bzgl.

Was mir direkt einfällt:
- Friedenslied (Beenden aller Kämpfe in Reichweite)
- Schlaflied ( Monster beruhigen )
- Furchtlied (Ziel rennt weg)
usw.

Sorry that it took so longThomas Tiefensee wrote:I thought in the last days, what is maybe missing in Illarion.
As i new player i like to say, that the first impression of Illarion is a pretty good one.
But now to the proposal:
Until now the only possiblities to heal a character is with potions and with magic. No other way no heal other characters.
I think about a medic system.
And this is the way i imagin it:
To walk around the using of new items, we could use the white cloth as bandages. They would be the base of the system.
Later we could use maybe new items. Real bandages that are cutted out of white cloth.
I think, the character should have the cloth in the hands and use it with another character. Then a menu pops up, where you can choose the herb you want to put into the bandage.
But i should be possible to use a bandage alone.
The different herbs should have different effects. Faster healing or poison healing maybe.
The effect should dependent on a skill. Something like 'healing' maybe. Depends on what is possible.
Maybe you could add, that it is possible to heal the own char, if the skill reached a given value. But then the effect of the healing should be reduced alot.
About the skill gain i think, this skill should gain pretty fast. But needs a lot of learing points, so the skill cap is reached fast.
Thats my point of view.
What did you think?
Thomas
I think I have to go with Alaine on this one.
However, I really like your idea of having bandages, etc. Right now the medicos do carry them around, and herbs and rp using them.
While you did suggest it as a new skill (and I like that very much), some of us have been RPing medicos for a long time, and already have the title. Should this system come and their skill is at 0 like everyone else, it begins to look a little strange.
Also, different wounds would require different herbs. I think it might be hard to make a program where it can understand what wound is being treated, and what the best herb is. As it is now, it sounds like one herb will be better than others. But, because of the random sprouting of plants across the board, and the sickle, people would only ever use that herb. This is something I do not like.
Although I think your idea is good, I like it as it is now. I like that there is a place for characters to learn healing. I like that we can rp using a much more vast number of plants than would get used in your system, and I like that characters who have been playing medicos can continue to have the "skill". I almost feel as if your system were implemented, everyone would take care of their own wounds, thereby making medicos obsolete anyways.
Also, I feel that PR-wise, there is a lot more to be said for RPing a wound and having it treated. The way some people already use health potions really indicates how rp of wounds could become non-existent, or rare, should players be able to bandage themselves. They would never have to say a word, continuing on what they're doing. A loss of RP and reality at once.
Also, I feel that with the arrival of the druid system (and the priest system?), then a medic-personality would arise from those, as they really are people one might go to when injured. With the druids at the very least, they will know which plants heal different injuries, and should they decide to pick up a needle and thread, they are your doctor as well.
Many people RP their characters as healthy 100%, or 99% of the time. The medicos we have, or who are forming, really do seem to be enough to cover the amount of injuries we have. Even if at times (like the lich war) things become stressful for your medico character.
To conclude, as I said, i like the idea, but it needs much, much fine-tuning. There need to be actual wounds or illnesses that someone can suffer from. And we would really need the support of players to RP their illness, which does not sound hard, but I see people ignoring their injuries every day. (I set someone's leg on Thursday and on Friday I see them running down an orc and fighting).
((I apologize if I have repeated anyone's earlier comments. I did not have a chance to try to translate all of the previous posts, and the translator I have is pretty sketchy anyways. Also, now the other english players can read those ideas in english and get caught up, I suppose. ))
