Suggestion: Instead of depots
>Personally, I never liked the idea of depots; they are too convienant, and prevent people robbing the stuff off you whislt in a journey. Also it is too 'magical' for words; finding the same items in the other places. So here is my suggestion for an alternative:
1) Depots are removed, instead there are 'personal chests'.
2) These personal chests will act like the depot as we know it, however they will not be recoverable from any other chest other than that you put it in
3) The only way to transfer items between chests is picking them up and moving them
Advantages:
Realism (to a point)
People will have to travel with money et cetera, giving burglars a chance
Racial villages suddenly become more important, if you live in Vanima, most of your items will be there; and you will remain there most of the time
You can have 'your room' with your items held there
No more compromising rules in order to reach depots (example walking into Grey Haven)
Nicer for guilds, the members items are in one place; and only one place
The ability to have spare items in other places for when you need them
Disadvantages:
> Hassle to carry X ingots to silverbrand to trade with the dwarves for example. [The 'deed' suggestion would solve this]
> If a GM accidently deletes a depot.... [*screams of terror*]
> Coding might be a problem?
> Ties a person to his racial village, as the items will all be there [intended]
