The forum of the magic academy has actual official race descriptions in english and german.
You will also find religion descriptions and some continent history there.
This also counts for some traditions of some races.
In the latest time, the roleplay of non-human races got worse. We have lizards, dwarves, elves which are played just like humans. Look there and get some inspiration, people.
