I can't get on the game!

I have been trying all day! Anyways, at first it starts out fine. The general info window pops up, then the log in page. After I log in... well... all I get is a black screen, and my curser looks inverted. (Like its cut in half)
Also, I found out when I press alt my curser turns into a weird sort of wand, and when I press shift, it turns into a cross or a large plus sign +. If this is a server problem, this must be the longest one ever
Please help, thanks.

erm...the server is down at the moment. so nobody can't get ingame.

Err.. please don't start a new topic everytime the server is down.
There is plenty of documentation for those who seek answer to why they can't play at times, and furthermore there's the Server Status thread which is usually pretty acurate about whether the server is up or down.
