The Blood Corps - to the people of Troll's Bane

It seems all our previous communications have be burned to ashes in a mysterious fire.
I may wander around once in a while but I can usually be found in the second floor of the library if anyone wants to make payments or have a discussion, and since the previous postings have been reduced to ashes, i guess some people may start asking the same old questions again.
Here are the payments made so far:
50 silver by anonymous
1 day left until the deadline...

Since i am not yet sure about your origin, but you were supported by the gods and have left traces i cannot really classify, because i have only few descriptions of active fairy magics and ways, i can only rely on the fact that you had help of some god. Since no evil influence appeared, this god must have a reason to support you.
I came to the following decision. Since it is my decision, i cannot make the order itself responsible for it. I have to bear its consequences myself.
I myself, as a responsible member of the order, will pay an amount of 50 silver bars from my own resources. Since these are quite low, exactly the worth of about 16 silver at the moment, it will take some time until i am finished with this.
As a kind of security, i need an exchange for that. How about the Promise never to harm innocent people in Troll's bane and surrounding ?

Damien, you do the lead... I'm not going to follow...

Seriously, as I've said in the burnt down post, these guys are obviously either A) Cheated character who want us to pay em and worship em like god, or B) Some bored to death admin who just want to make the newbies fear and waste their hard earn silver. I don't know about you, but I ain't gonna fell for it. Oh, by the way, "People of the spiritual world", don't litter in your wonderful world that's right now occupied by us, "People of the Troll Bane". ok? You forgot your flower... 100 of em... and they're acting as junk... also, that rock stick looks ugly... make it some nice looking statune, will you?
Lastly, the library, RESTORE IT NOW. Don't get me pissed or I'll commit some international crime and bring the whole world down. (OOC)
understand?

ooc: maybe the guys who's doing this, think its fun for us... but its not all the time we wander around in illarion.... everything we do is trying NOT to get into a fight with someone...
so i tell you "blood corps" dont do this its silly... if you want to make the game more fun, start a treasure hunt, not sensless killing of us because we dont want to give away our hard earned money (end of ooc)
aye...
wont you guys come to a deal?
we wont give all money...
we do respect you... isnt that symbolic enough?

Alright we will once again extend the deadline 3 days once again and i hope that the total payments from Troll's Bane made within these few days will come the 300 silver.
If our demands are met, we the Blood Corps promise that we will never harm any innocent person in Troll's Bane.

As far as i can remember from the burnt scrolls, the Blood Corps never actually said that they would kill anyone, i only remember the quote "the consequences will be deadly"
I don't think just because you don't give your money it means you will neccesarily die. You can choose to fight against the threat if you want, but because the enemy is strong, even though they are not invincible, it would take many people to win, just like everyone banded together to fight Drahken Vorkalion because they all believed him to be an evil threat. Unfortunately, different people have their different opinions about the Blood Corps. Some people believe that they are the original natives of this land and want to have peace and co-operation with them. Some people believe they are faires. Some people believe them but don't want to give in to their demands. Some don't believe them and just think they are bandits. Some don't want to give in but think that the Blood Corps are too strong to fight. Some want to fight but don't know where to find the enemy etc.
Not giving your silver doesn't neccesarily mean you will die, it just means we will have to defend against a powerful enemy which is probably a poor decision because the people of Troll's Bane are not united enough in this matter and don't know enough about the enemy.

This mysterious fire has also deleted our answer to Blood Corps, so wesearched for it in our library and post it again:
People of Troll's Bane
Today there was a meeting with Wiezlude, the representative of the so called Blood Corps.
Caranthir, the leader of the Ironhammer Clan and 6 Knights of the Grey Rose including the complete High Circle met him to discuss his demands. Bad luck made, that no representative of the Order was available.
Wiezlude stated clear again, that they don't need the silver. What they want is to make us give something away, that is important for us as gesture of our will towards peace. He also said, that it is not meant as a duty of the three guilds he addressed with his demands, but of all inhabitants of Troll's Bane. He just needed the guilds as responsible subjects, he could address.
Caranthir refused to pay the silver, what we understand, for a promised new stone can't of course substitute the lost memorial of King Udan.
The Grey Rose as guild also refuses to pay the demanded money. However, we as individuals feel responsible for Troll's Bane and especially the safety of his inhabitants, and we also accept the Blood Corp's right to get a compensation. So we decided to open a pot, where we ask every citizen that feels responsible for his town and land to put some gold or silver in, that will go to Wiezlude and his men to 100%.
We made the first step and everyone of us gave 15 silver ingots what makes an actual level of 105 ingots.
Wiezlude showed his good will by giving us three more days. After these three days, I think 300 ingots will be together.
Wiezlude also gave his promise, that this will be his only demand and no others will follow. We believe him, as he really has no reason to demand any material things from us. This silver is only meant as a symbol of our respect and our wish for peace and cooperation.
We hope there will be a lot more of interaction and cooperation between them and us, because both sides could learn a lot and profit much from a close partnership.
We hope most of you can support our way to settle this conflict, we at least are absolutely confident with this solution.
Sir Sirius, Souvereign of the Grey Rose
Angaria, Earl of the Grey Rose
Aragon, Earl and Templar of the Grey Rose
Badmosche, Noble Knight and Treasurer of the Grey Rose
Farlorn, Knight of the Grey Rose
Echnaton, Knight of the Grey Rose
Elminister, Knight of the Grey Rose
We have also collected in the moment this amount:
5 Silver from Peregrin
So we will now spent a total amount of 110 silver to Blood Corps.
Anyone, who will join?

OT: I hope this'll bethe last post like this! If anybody wants to claim about that story (obviously startet by an GM) please do that on the official message board. Not here!!
I myself think this is a new concept of story/plot which cannot be solved just by hacking and slying some skelletons. We are confronted a new kind of problem which surely will affect the conscience of many charakters if we would just try to solve it with weapons and fireballs. Now we have to interact with NPS and think about our own situation as intruders on a foreign island. I myself like this story and how it develops. But please try to solve the problem in Game and roleplaying - not by abusing the GM's!!
@ Killer X: Do you want to keep your "hard earned money" till the rest of your life?
Linus
Intime: I also would spend some money like Damein. Proble is I cannot earn that much in a short time. Although I have 350 Silver I do not see them as mine, because I collected them from differennt people for a temple of Zelphia and I would dare to give away the money others gave me to worship my godess. Only If it comes too hard I will use the money which I once spended myself. I hope Tanora will forgive me. I hope this will take a good end.

[ooc:] i dislike this "rp" , it would be totally same if bror would post a thread that would say , "allrigth ppl , give me your silver or ill log in and kill you with my super-strong char , pay or feel the consequences" we need those silvers for our temple/guildcave.
[end of ooc]
we are merchants and crafters , only few of us are soldiers.
you arent severing the justice , becuse we werent there when all this was built.
you cant blame us for things happened before we've born.
1.) we were NOT the ones who built the buildings.
2.) we are NOT the ones who sold the first weapons for that lizard.
-also we were not the fist who forged the weapons either.
3.) fine , we build an memorial for our beloved leader , but you destroyed it cowardly without warning.
the greatest harm has happened for our people , and i think that YOU owe us 50 silver for the destruction of memorial.
you may be the real natives , but you surely act like barbarians and Bandits
shame on you , after all this time you appear? imagine about all what we could have arcieved together?
blame your ancestors , they are the ones to blame.
this "revenge" doesnt serve anyone , i think that your ancestors would turn on their graves if they would know this.
Yours , Caranthir
@ darzog , WE have the same prob. we have silvers , but we need em too .
and we "dont" want to keep it rest of our life ...we just want our darn cave/temple .

Robert, right? If I'm not mistaken... Drop the act as I've said above, and quit while you're still ahead... Some newbies still admire you... As for the rest of us, we don't care... I'm not paying, 99% of the smarter players aren't paying. So go back and do yourself a favor, quit while you're still ahead of the game. ok?

Caranthir, If your example really happened, then one thing people could do is band together and try to defeat Bror!

Just like when Draken Vorkalion's intent was somewhere along the lines of "obey and serve Moshran or die" , the people still managed to defeat him and his demons dispite how powerful they were. I'm not saying fighting is the best solution to this problem, but it IS an option if you don't want to give in to the enemy's demands.

@ darzog: this IS the official board , you silly twit
ooc: and dyluck... those things made me quit other online muds
i dont want to quit illarion... it has potential, if just the gm's should stop acting stupid...
and make quests like this...not obligatory...
because its stupid... theese quests are stupid...
we could have done some treasure hunting, or some sort of competition...
THAT's fun... but being blackmailed is not fun, thats why its illegal in real...
leave blackmailing to nonRpg'ers, and pk's and other people who needs a reson
for senseless killing...
and you are trying to make us rpg... how is that possible when all you do is stealing our hard earned money...
and if you kill us, then we have to take longer time to earn skills for earning money again...
how can we make temples, and such without money?
:ooc
once again... i state: i hate this blackmailing thing...

Me, as a part of the Silver Star merchants, decided also to pay 100 silver to banish Wiezlude and his ancestors from OUR land.
Caranthir and your axe-swinging colleagues, you seem to be not a bit proud of your country. The only thing you can think of is how to get much money for your cave. Damnit! That doesn't support the whole idea.
But that's maybe because you have a heart of stone.
May Nargun roll the dices for you ...

I follow the words of Francesca:
All of you all can think of is your money and your skills!!
What about the community and everything else whats going up around you!
Have you ever thought about who owns all the land from which you take gems, gold and ore every day??
We all have goals in Life like caves, castles and guild-houses. But that's not all. It cannot be everything you are playing for (I hope so). I myself collected money for a temple since about three month I got enough money for a small sacral building. But because the gods still refuse to let us build temples/houses I have to be patient and wait. So yu are not the first one who would have to give away some "hard earned money" which should be use for another thing than apeacing a strange native community.
@ Leif, please stop complaining ooc - use the official/main Board, not the rpg - board!!!!

this is not our lands, not yours either... its the blood corps land.
that i belive...
it seems taht you, darzog and francesca... are on the side of the blood corps...
you want us to give away money... but i think its meaningless...
the gm's will just find another way to get more money out of us...
but i dont see why we have to pay... we are merly craftsmen
we are not fighters... thats why we think that skills are important,
you two are surly some war-hungry rich guys, who dont have
nothing against loosing a bit money and skill just to end an idiotic quest...
but we are not that rich, to begin with... i dont know where you guys have got the idea , that we are... and the skills we have has taken a long while to build up...

[OOC]:
Leif, this topic was started by a player, not a GM. But since it had some potential for a lot of fun, the GMs supported it. And it has roots in the illarion background (the map).
[/OOC]
I have found some old records in Nanuk's library. I did not seek them before, because they are now called "legends" and "fairie tales".
Somewhere there, i found an old map, showing the former explored part of the known world.
It shows the nearest continent (not the full world disc) and some islands around it. This island here, too. It is marked to be home of "gnomes" and "fairies"!
As far as i know, gnomes could simply hide by dwelling far under the surface. Their race, as reports show, are relatives of dwarves, not that strong, but masters of constructions and as intelligent spellcasters as elves can be.
Fairies, like the map shows, welling somewhere near troll's bane, have been told to be able to somehow "melt" with natural surroundings, and if the whole tribe decided, hide from other race's eyes and magics quite well.
I have been quite puzzled, as i found a sailor's traveller story, who tells of fairies an gnomes, and describes this island in some details, and who talked of problems on the continent, driving people away from it. It may be that many families emigrated from the continent to surrounding islands, because of increased monster activities and strengths. After a great evil person was slain, these troubles seemed to be solved, but most peasants had left the continent, or died, and so the cities were not able to feed themselves well.
Since the number of built ships sank, and since the knowledge on how to build them was lost, i guess we could perhaps build a ship some day, and seek for the remaining cities there. Much knowledge must lie there, in ancient scrolls and books.
But until then, it is obvious that we have to "deal" with "fairies" or "gnomes", or both. Whatever true roots may lie in the old tales, it may be an old tribe that still exists in hidden places.

[ooc:] im just wondering... if this was started by an player , isnt he just looking for an easy way to make money?geez , i have an idea , lets put in fake story and then demand their silvers and transfer em to my other char. thats great! i dont have to work myself at all , i just steal their silvers. [end of ooc:]
im sorry that you feel that way , Fransesca.
maybe my heart was stoned , but the reason was the destruction of udans memorial.
WE BUILT THAT MEMORIAL IN HONOR OF UDAN , AND THE DESTROYED IT!
YOU FEEL THAT ITS RIGTH ?
IF YOU DO THEN YOU HAVENT EVEN GOT HEART !
my heart has bleed from the day that the crime happened.
and you tell me that i have to pay for that Crime?

this is silly...
if i find out a plausible reson to steal stuff and kill people ...
then its ok?
i could get rich as hell just threatning people and killing as i feel for it...
<ooc>
and if the gm's take part with a player, then its unfair...
we all should get 300 silvers...
Its just a cooinsidence , that its not dwarfen land...
why do we have to pay , because the developers are too lazy to
finish the world, so we can go to our lands?
why? im just asking...<end ooc>

OOC:
It's not silly. Since the developers have both much to do at the moment, final exams and stuff like this, they have not very much time left. And they are reprogramming the server and the client at the same time. So they have a) plenty do do and b) at the same time they are still programming LOTS of stuff for the game.
This plot was a) a nice thing worth to be supported and b) a possibility to explain why and how the both races (fairies and gnomes) are not implemented yet.
Indeed, 50 silver is a lot. But who knows ? Try to solve it in game. The overall silver the player will "earn" with this, won't be put in his own pocket.
So, stop complaining and start roleplaying.

Well if you don't want to give away your silver then just don't and consider your other options, such as standing up to them, fighting them, or hiding from them, or talking your way out, or some other roleplay method. Just think of other options you could take to avoid giving your silver. Nobody says that your only two options is pay or die. I don't even remember the Blood Corps saying anything about killing anyone.

Worry not little dwarves, others have already taken on the burden.
The deadline has come and the total has come to 300 silver
50 silver from anonymous
15 silver from Sir Sirius
15 silver from Angaria
15 silver from Aragon
15 silver from Badmosche
15 silver from Farlorn
15 silver from Elminister
15 silver from Echnaton
5 silver from Peregrin
100 silver from the Silverstar Merchants
40 silver from Gurok
We have learned a lot about the different people in Troll's Bane during these 2 weeks, and fortunately there was no need to take up arms. The Blood Corps will pull out of the area of Troll's Bane as soon as we find our leader who has gone missing.....
The library's contents will be returned and the fog of illusion over Udan's Memorial will be removed. It was never actually destroyed, it was merely a powerful illusion.
