Ok I was ingame and Someone called my Char Gra'able, Gra'able. I then said In OOC its not Gra'able and IC I said Who's Gra'able.

The other person then said in OOC that its possible to name change. Also I would recomend you read this. http://illarion.org/community/forums/vi ... hp?t=17176

of cause it is possible. But i don't like the idea of an old char with an new name.

Most of the time when I saw it happen was because of marriages.

The possibility to change the name of the character for good RP reasons has been granted several times in the past of Illarion.

There is, of course, no guarantee, that your name will be changed, but why not RP well and ask a GM about it.

I seem to remember another char that got her name changed because of RP reasons, Morgaine Le Fay. Though I'm not entirely certain she didn't just make a new character

I don't want to make a new char because
1. I have no spaces left
and
2. I have a good parry and concussion weapons skill.

Consider a char as a person in a strange and mysterious world called Illarion. Changing his or her name does not make a new born person out of him / her. People will still recognize him / her on the streets and all his / her memories stay the same...

Blabla, name changes are possible but only to change the name, not creating a new character. And keeping your skills is a bs-type of reason.

Well, Gra's character wears a mask and a cape now, so you aren't supposed to recognize who he is.

I actually believe it would be a legit reason for a name change. If somebody changes their name, they shouldn't have to lose their skills, as they are the same person in the first place, just a different name.

If you really want to change your name you should just put the !suffix then "/ desired name." "#i" this to all the people you've already "#i'd" and just have new people you meet "!name" you. I did that with one of my chars who wanted to go by a different name.

Well i think that was a good RP reason if you read well,as he is defigured and full of scraches(sorry for my english).And well his character change of personality cause he wanna be knight,it looks like he changed pretty much like mine.

Thats not my RP reason for the name change if you would have read the link you would know the RP reason for it... That was the reason for not deleting the char.

I requested a name change once because my character that had had amnesia for a long time finally regained her memory and knew what her real name was, and I was told I had to recreate to do it, and she already had items and skills and stuff, so don't complain about your orc

And like Grobby said, I've really only seen name changes because of weddings.

Suggestions for weddings:

Name: Jane
Before wedding: !suffix Peters
After wedding : !suffix Goodsmith
