English below.

Die meisten werden es mitbekommen haben, das die Itemnamen sich geändert haben. Es kann sein das die Namen hier und da nicht stimmen, oder sinnlose Kombination (z.b.: morsches Schwert) heraus kommen. Das passiert bei der Menge die ich ändern musste einfach. Außerdem kann es passieren, das Waffen die nach dem Namen zweihändig sein sollten, einhändig sind oder anders herum.

Ich bitte darum, alle kleinen Fehler zu melden. Am besten per PN an mich.

Außerdem hab ich das Script des Heiltrankes minimal verändert um solchen, *angreif* *aufhör* *trink* *sofort weiter kämpf* -Aktionen vorzubeugen.

Ich hoffe es gibt nicht all zu viel zu beanstanden.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The most of you my recognice that, many itemnames changed. It may happen that i made some sensless combinations (e.g. rotten sword) in this huge amount of scripts. It may happen too that some items, got the name of a two handed weapon, an the server handle them one handed or inverse.
Please report all little misstakes you find, to me. Best this a pm.
Also i made a little change at the script of the healing potion to prevent this *slash* *slash* *drink* *slash* *slash* actions.
I hope you don't have to complain to many.
I love my now "crappy helm"
Personally i really like this term and many of the other changes.
I have heard that long swords "the most expensive one handed sword not drow" now read as two hander swords.
Also could you tell us about these potions changes as i never use a potion except when i really have to. Which means i will be dead :P
Thanks for all your work
It actually says "crappy helm"? Thats funny like the magazine I saw today titled "Crappie", which reminded me of a sporting goods store in Japan called "CowPoo".
Anyways, I've noticed a few changes to the wording, no errors yet. Except for the throwing spears being worth 7.5 copper coins...How do you get half a coin? By biting it in half?
Just for the record, crappy is a less vulger form of s*itty, and its still quite umm impolite... just incase anyone complains about it in the future.
Yes i know all the "recommended over 16 bla bla bla"
I would really recommend not using the word crappy to describe an item. Try awful. It's the same thing, but less...vulgar.
My english is not the best, and i didn't know a better word. Sorry. Changed to awful with the next update.
No! Please don't...
Crappy is great for a helmet.
I myself also really love crappy as it really describes this rusty piece of crap metal perched on my head very well :wink:
How ever in the interest of keeping a professional feel to the game, which is important awful may be more fitting, i suppose.
I will be sorry to see it go
so whats the ETA on the other magic systems? and which ones are furtherest along. i really am interested in seeing what things priest and bard magic would have. we'll have to buy you a programming monkey, to take some of the stress off of you :wink:
p.s. is herb lore only effected by what you get using a sickle or does it count with plants you pick up in weeds as well?
Herb Lore is:
- Getting Herbs with the sickle
- Getting Herbs out of plant
Herb Lore is not:
- Take herb items from the ground (those that are placed on the map randomly )
No wonder I spent hours searching a plant to find only weed and grass.
If I wanted that I would search a college dorm room.
...
That's a joke...
I see another update is that the old single handed long sword is now a two handed sword. I feel I must protest this, I understand that there was only one two handed sword before, which is now a bastard sword; but there is no good single handed sword or even good single handed weapon you can use in melee. If there is none of that there is no reason for shields, and with no shields well, that is plain sad.
So if we can make drow swords a bit stronger, or something to make single handed weapons worth time to use in actual combat, that would be much appreciated by many I feel.
Watch out, they'll probably buff two handers instead of buff one handers.
Stephen, is the longsword just by name a twohanded sword, or does it also need both hands?
I agree with stephen,and that sword dont look to be a two-handed 1,and now everyone use bastard swords,we should find a way so that more peoples use shields and 1 handed weapons instead of only war hammer and bastard sword.
@shandariel- Takes both hands and is called two handed.
some speed issues with things like that too. with staffs and double sides weapons (though the double axe is still a monster) you'd think both sides being used would make the weapon faster but two handed swords would be much slower in respects, because you swing full through and have to bring the blade back in the other direction. even a strong person has to deal with the weight of there own swing before the next stroke can be made.
the one handed swords hardly seem to move as fast as two handed weapons even though there lighter and well used with one hand. just a thought.
Neato system, simplistic as can be. One question, does area effect herb lore like it does mining with chance of different things?
Yes..you find what would normally appear randomly in that type of terrain.
Did the lot of you update the books? Because I always carry a bag full of books with Misjilah, and suddenly some have titles and text and everything! Anyhow, lovely new year present. :)
Concerning potions, I got about a 2 second freeze after drinking on, so that is the difference. You still get a lot of life back instantly, but your character freezes for a few seconds, keep that inmind next you chug down potions.
Do you gain herblore skill with using a sickle yet, or was that the "simple" thing about that system?
I tried for.. uhh.. a long time, using a character without herblore and to no avail. Afterwards I checked an old tree trunk and couldn't learn anymore after a short time.
It's not about the fact whether I get herbs or not, it's about whether you improve in searching for herbs when using a sickle or not.
Its been possible to improve your herblore for a long long time now by simply 'using' a palm tree.
