Rand Kalan Al'Vega is walking towards the grey haven when he hears a scream in the northwood. He dashes off in it's direction with many others and a concerned troll. The troll leaves them and they head into the forest. a few are lost in the beginning and then a few more... soon.. it is only him, Kevin Lightdot, and Avareniah marching through the forest in search of trouble...

Walking through the forest shrine and still no sign of anybody... Kevin dissapears into the woods...

After a large amount of searching Rand and Avareniah head back and come upon Alon the halfling with a note in his mouth, a dagger protruding from his chest, and tied to a tree.. carefully they manage to sew him up and get him back to the Greyhaven to a bed where Rand leaves Avareniah and another to watch over him...

Rand charged back into the forest in search of Kevin, or anyone else in need, determined not to let that happen again... in the middle of the forest, in a clearing, he is forced back by the overwhelming tainted darkness of the forest.

Alon died before he returned... he was being burried in front of grey haven even as he got there...

Rand charges back into the woods to the spot where he found Alon...

"COWARD!!!!"
"Come out and Fight me! You attack a helpless creature but you can't come and fight me?"

Rand thrusts a sword into a tree but soon thinks better of it and pins a note there with it.

Rasmantil, I don't know what your thirteenth is... and really I don't care, you are an abomination and do not deserve life... or whatever you call what you have... come out so I may slay you.

Avareniah sits, watching as Rand heads to the woods. Her words echo in her head. He had said the woods were dark and her anger grasped her heart and she nearly hissed "He taints her!" Rasmantil was using the forest, the heart of life to undo lives. She seethes as she realizes doesn't want him to go. She knows it is foolhardy and he would be ended should he come across Rasmantil and his followers. Somehow, she cannot bring herself to stop him. Revenge was not for her, but should Rasmantil be ended, his was not a life she would mourn over.

She stands and walks to where the dark man is burying Alon. She places the grapes meant for him on his grave and says some words in elven to him, calling to Ushara to accept into her arms and light the little halfling and for him to feel no pain, only peace.

When it was done, she sat dejectedly in the grass, knees pulled to her chest. One phrase keeps running through her mind, a hissing phrase she fights to scream at the top of her lungs, "Two. That makes two you have taken from my hands, Rasmantil. They will be the last!" The sweet elfess, Alaikanei approaches her. Avareniah hears her coming and she says out loud something else she has been thinking: "I already took one from Chergra's talons -Liles... I cannot pull them all back, can I?" The elfess had agreed that no, she could not. "He took my Nymus from me too. Rasmantil stole him from me."

Avareniah looks at the blood that covers her front and she wipes the hot tears from her cheeks. She excuses herself from the elfess and makes her way back inside to clean up and see to her other patients. She could still help them.

After spending hours sitting in the low branches of the blood stained tree holding severed ropes in his hand Rand gets to his feet and heads to the grey haven where he takes a note from his pocket and places it on a table, he writes above what is already writen and leaves to contemplate things on his favorite stone.

Hello former Citizens of Trollsbane and other peoples. Rasmantil left the note below on the body of the halfling, someone please send me a dove as to what it means...
