Hours. Or if people sell the thing you're needing to the NPC.

I've noticed this too it takes a long time... I think NPCs should get reset early in the morning with a certain amount of stock and copper... by the end of the day whatever they have is what they have.. then, the next morning they should get refilled but with all the extra stuff from the previous day... but then again, this may take alot of work and there are other things I'd rather see working than NPCs (magic, ect. )
a few thoughts,
-Nick~
EDIT: perhaps this is already implemented? I haven't checked...

Theres more to it than what some of us are paying attention to. The entire stocking - availability of items on an NPC have everything to do with economy. It's all economy based now. Out economy sucks in Gobaith because the only things that get sold to NPCs are garbage that no one wants. Its not like the old times where you could sell anything and they'd have an unmeasurable endless amount of all their things. They're like real life traders now who don't get shipments every 5 minutes. They get stocked seldomly, but the more people sell USEFUL things to them the more of the useful things they have and the cheaper the price.
Economy guys.

well i was dealing with the guy in greenwich who sells seeds
and also that kinda messes things up because they each only buy a couple things and none of the things are useful anyways

Its Greenbriar. There are so many NPCs now. They all buy different things.
