I have just created an account and im trying to create a character. It says checking name..... its been like this for hours.. any words of advice?

You are aware of the fact that name checks are done by human beings ?

And knowing this fact, you can now surely tell yourself why it might take a little longer to look up and decide about your characters.

Otherwise I can only repeat what plenty of players already heard themself and said themself:

Patience.
As soon as a GM finds some spare minutes he/she is willing to sacrefice your character will be checked and either approved or rejected.

Oh, i thought it was automatic just to make sure no bad words or non related things
