the Païen

The Païen are dedicated to the preservation and plantation of all that is natural upon this world. We take no sides in war, for we serve only to protect nature, and it's creatures.
Those who wish to learn the ways of the Païen only need write upon here, and the Païen almost Guarantees you will be taught. No matter if you're a humble carpenter, or just someone wishing ot learn how they can help nature
The Païen will teach the basics of how to use nature, but not to harm it. This will include the ways of moderation, replantation, fishing, carpentry, and the basics of combat. Anyone found in breach of the Païen's rules, will be dealt with acordingly
The Païen will always welcome those that wish to help the cause. Those with the hands to give plants life are welcomed, but so are those strong in mind, voice, arm, and sight. But some carpenter looking to make some coin will not be let into the Païen. All those that wish to join this cause should write upon this board your name and your motivation for wishing to join. The Païen will contact all those that apply. Do not attempt to find the Païen, for the Païen will find you.
The Païen requires those with the special skills to make the Païen stronger. The arms of the Païen need those with the strength and heart to defend nature from the unnatural and the malicious. The voice of the Païen requires those who can speak fluently, and spread the teaching of the Païen. The hands of the Païen require those with the skill in their craft, to help the goals and duties of the Païen. The thoughts of the Païen are those taht have proven themselves worthy, these make the decisions within the Païen.
The Païen will never list the names of it's students, voices, thoughts, hands or arms. However it has no problem with them making themselves know on these papers
The Païen yield to no one man, or to no group. The Païen is an independent force which will help to maintain natures rightful place upon this earth
Nature is not here to supply the races of this land with materials, Nature helps us and asks nothing in return, it can be a valuable asset to us and it should be used, but the blatant destruction of nature and it's creatures is a crime agaisnt this world. Those which seek to destroy nature only to make a few coins is a crime, and the Païen will not tolerate it. The Païen will not shoot down one man for harvesting the wood of a tree, but the Païen will not accept blatant misuse of the powers men have over nature. Cutting branches from a cherry tree to make a bucket is fine, but cutting down a forest so you can sell the wood to some carpentor is not acceptable.
goals of the Païen
1) Restore the former forests to what they once were
2) Plant and protect cherry-trees for all to use
3) to teach unknowing carpenters and lumberjacks about moderation and respect
duties of the Païen
1) to protect the forests and it's creatures from malicous attacks
2) teach the ignorant of the ways of the Païen
-respect for the land
-respect for the creatures of the land
-replantation of fallen trees
-the way of moderation
3) prevent unnatural forces from taking hold onto this world
4) To make sure apropriate judgement is passed onto those which actively defile the land
5) Prevent illegitimate claims upon the land
6) to nurish and protect the natural world.

However honorable your motives are, I sense a hint at violence within your words. As a servant of Ushara I can assure you that the Goddess doesn't want violence.
Into the hands of mortals she puts the task of cultivating and caring for her creations. In the same way she puts the very balance of nature into our hands. We have been given free will by the five and can choose between creating harmony on the earth or our own destruction.
At the same time, being a mother unto us and understanding our nature, she provided the forest trolls that mankind would never have to spill blood in her name. The nature of these otherwordly beings binds them to the forests and makes them most suitable to protect them. They also serve to shepherd mankind away from those places where the fabric between their reality and Ushara's land beyond the veil (otherwise known to most of mankind as the Plane of Earth) is weak.
In such a way Ushara has provided us only one sole duty, understanding our limitations. I hope that you agree.
Yours,
Slasthulphus

The Païen has thought upon your words, sir Slasthulphus, and the Païen have decided that there is wisdom in your words. The Païen decides that the people of this island need to be taught about the ways of nature, and that no harm shall come those ignorant of what they do. However those who will not accept the ways of nature, and continue to brutally destroy it need to be taught the error of their ways, be it through the voices of Païen, or the arms of Païen.
The Païen agree with you, that the forest trolls are sacred creatures, who are here to protect the forest. They perform their duty the best they can, but i am aware of many who hunt down these creatures, be it for fun or just to make a profit from their weapons. This to cannot be allowed to continue.
Mr, greenleaf, the Païen have thought about your offer, and believe you to be trustworthy. The Païen have no doubt that you will be contacted.

I agree, The Païen way of life makes sense to me in every way. Hearing your wise words has awoken my mind, not just to the ignorance of our society, but to the power of nature.
I wish to ask, may I join the wise Païen?

I am Eliron Sharid, a carpenter who requires the trees in order to produce goods. I will not intentionally harm any trees, yet I will require a little.
Since this is a worthy cause, should you require buckets to help plant trees, I will supply them for free.
Also remember not to plant trees on Vanima's soil, without permission from the Elders; and do not cut those trees either for they are sacred.
I remain

My Name is Kzorkk N'Trrgur, I'm a lizzardman who tried to become a carpenter. A short time ago Morthodai contacted me and told me about the Paien. After a little conversation I decided to join and learn from them because I agree with their attitudes in most cases. I hope I'll be contacted soon and told that I'm welcome.
Greetings

The Païen are glad that those of the 'community of the old language' agree with the Païen's words. It is a shame that the Païen cannot speak the old language, perhaps one of you should sit in on one of the Païen's lessons, so that you may spread the word of Païen to all those of the old langauge
The Païen are pleased to announce that the words of Païen are going far. The students listen well and should soon be able to spread the teachings themselves
