a question for gm's mainly. on the rpg forum thing, Aremeh put a new topic called Aremeh's description. inside he put is complete character description. I just thouhgt this was a good idea. couldn't we put a section like the general, rpg, and guilds sections, and name it something like caracter descriptions and have the topic names be your character's name and you put his/her desciption there? It would save alot of time doing that to everyone you meet. all you have to do is go to search, type in the characters name you want, make the search only in character descriptions section, and bam, you have they're complete description. I didn't know where to post this so sorry if it fits some where else. I just want everyones opion on this idea, gm's and players.

I don't think a whole board is needed for that. I'll add a thread and have someone sticky it.

It would be good, but only if it didn't make people stop "#meing" there discription in game. People arn't going to read eveyones discription posted there and if they have read a certican characters they may forget. But i like the idea overall, would be nice for characters who don't "#me" there discription a lot (which most people don't).

good idea, #meing a long description takes forever. of course you don't want to give away all your characters little secrets on the boards but it gives a chance to add more detail to quick descriptions. all in all i like it

I was JUST saying that to Damien. Rackere took the time to design a page for all of that. I still love your page Rackere.

The disclaimer from Aegohl in the new topic says:
((Here's a place to describe your character. Anything that isn't a character description will be deleted.

Thank you.))
In my opinion, the story of a character is not a description of the character.
Stories can be told at campfires. They are nothing what can be seen with the eye while watching a character. Also habits aren't normally visible.
Therefore I will delete them, if I get no good arguements against it.
But more I would prefer, that people keep on a single description of the characters look.

agreed, it's a good place to put a little quick description about your a character. i'm sure alot of us have characters that meet people who say 'i've heard of you.' or want to have some sort of relation to that character. so visual description and a tiny bit about the characters usual habits is a nice way to give people a heads up on what there getting into when metting some of us wuth older characters without having them somehow know your lifes story, i'm sure the newbie crowd will be thankful for it

Why?

If someone speaks a pronounced "s" like someone wrote, can you see it?
If someone is shy or couraged or what ever, can you see it by just have a look at him?
In my opinion, most of them need a deeper look to be seen in body language or way of walking / standing. And it also takes away the chance to have a mask in your body language, if everyone can read, that you are extrem shy.

Actually yes, shy people don't make good eye contact, and sometimes try to avoid people entirely. But that is body language, yes...

I'm a genius

but I also agree with Fooser, if you walk by some one and just see him biting his nails, there you go
