Reading the "Please no" thread...
(you can move this there if you want Japheth ;) )

It is a matter of fact that quests which will be done only once by a single char or a group of chars will be performed by GMs no matter what scripts can do. The quotient of benefit and amount of work would be too low.
However, I am currently researching what quests a capable of with some extensions to the script language. A side effect of this work is that a more or less huge quest is taking form which up to now has no monsters in it but mostly riddles. i. e. you have to use your brain. Also I don't expect anybody to solve it within a month or even a longer period of time.
But most important this quest is not of the "Get the ultimate weapon" type, its purpose is mainly to tell a story. You, the player, can choose if you want to be a part of this story or not. Also it will become more and more difficult as you play along and maybe you will come to a point where you will need help by other characters ;)
Other static quests will be written to populate the island and have NPCs to interact with, creating or better supporting the atmosphere of a fantastic world.
So, simply put: Look forward to static quests and be surprised ;)
