Can you buy books?

No, but you can read them for free in the library and several other buildings. There are a few you can take with you too.

Ehm... just tyr to add them to your belt or pack and see if they go, I can't remember anymore than there is a small red one, a medium blue one with red corners, and a large white one with blue letters that you can take. I know 'cos they're in my pack, hehe.
