Sapplings

Perhaps this is nothing or has been said before but it is bothering me immensely,
When making sapplings a few times I have gotten the "you cannot concentrate on learning message" after making a few sapplings, fine.. this doesn't bother me... but... if I hit my skill cap when making sapplings shouldn't I be learning something? it hasn't gotten any easier to make them and it is harder and harder to keep up with the killing carpenters in trollsbane.
Please Help

Perhaps you're doing something else as well? The skill cap isn't separate for each skill you have. If you were, say, just fighting a fly or something, and then you decided you needed to make saplings then you'd only have what was left after using some of the skill allowance. You don't start anew when you finish doing one skill and start on another.

Perhaps you are learning something.
Peasantry governs the growing of crops, etc. I would assume, if planting saplings makes you cap out, then it is also working towards your pesantry skill.

Probably... my char has about 1/2 peasentry... and his chance is about 50% to turn them into blooms...
I'm not sure about skill increase... hope one of the Coders/GMs can clear it up.

It does increase your peasentry skill to grow sapplings.
I've tried it out with one of my characters and after some (days) I got peasantry skill from watering those cherry stones.

Thank you, I was just a little frustrated because I have made over 70 sapplings (( 70 without getting the message, 100 or more with it )) and peasantry wasn't even on the list.... thank you for strengthening my beliefs that I am actually going to get better at making sapplings.
Yes I knew that the skill cap was not for individual skills too... that would be the wrong way to do ithe skill cap...
Thanks again,
