Trouble logging in

I apologize in advance for asking a question that has an obvious answer that I overlooked. Please be patient with me.

Illarion seems like a breath of fresh air after Runescape, another MMORPG that I realized a few months ago to be far too dependent on the leveling up system which crippled me. After nearly 3 years of playing the game I had gone almost nowhere due to the fact I didn't spend as much time as other people did on a daily basis. But of course, that's unrelated to my question. I mainly felt like going on a tangent.

So now I've registered an account on Illarion and I have two characters: Igna and Ilisk. Their statuses are both "Name Accepted" and I have the Illarion program downloaded on my computer. However, whenever I open it and enter in my username and password (both of which I am positive I typed in correctly) I get a few minutes of a black empty screen and then finally a message telling me that there is no character existing of that name. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Tack this up on the list of careless mistakes, and move it to Tech Support please. Sorry. :(

EDIT: And forgive the double post.

You have to assign their attributes before you can play them.

Log into your account on the website interface; and click on an option called "assign attributes" or something like that. You should find one each in the list by the names of the characters.

Welcome to Illarion. :)

I can't see that anywhere.

"Existing Characters
Character Race Sex Status
-delete- Igna Human Male name accepted
-delete- Ilisk Lizard Male name accepted

Create new Character | Add old Character"

That's all I get. Should I take a screen shot?
