English below

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ab sofort ist ein neues System für das Holzfällen auf dem Spielserver aktiviert. Ein Baum wird jetzt in 2 Stufen gefällt. Als erstes muss der Baum selbst umgehauen werden und dann kann aus dem Gefallenen Stamm, Holz heraus geschlagen werden. Wieviel Holz man aus dem Stamm heraus bekommt ist Skill abhängig. Das bekommt ihr bestimmt heraus.
Die Fallrichtung des Baums lässt sich beeinflussen. Wie das funktioniert, bekommt ihr sicher heraus.
Und ganz wichtig: Wenn ein Baum auf deinen Kopf fällt tut das weh. ;)
Das Herausschlagen des Holzes aus dem Gefallenen Stamm, funktioniert genau, wie das Fällen der Bäume, wie immer.
Sollten Fehler gefunden werden schreibt sie hier rein. Balacing und Erweiterungsvorschläge genau so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From now on, a new system for lumberjacking is online on the gameserver. The tree is cutted in two phases. First you cut down the tree. And then you cut the wood out of the fallen tree log. How many wood you get, depends on your skill.

It is possible to control the direction the tree falls. How this works, you will be able to find out

And importaint: it hurts, if a tree fall down on your head ;)

the cutting out of the wood, works in the same way, like the cutting down of the tree.

If you find any bugs write them in here. If you have Balancing or Addition Proposals, do the same.

Sounds like a great addition to the game.
It is much more realistic this way.

The rate of dead trees, which can not regrow, can be raised now. :wink:

While we are on the topic, I have always found it strange that i cant cut trees with armor.
How ever i can mine "which is a horrifically phsyicaly activity" smith and farm in full plate.
Perhaps these activitys could be in time limited to a chain shirt? It would even the playing field some what if any one has a grudge with a high level character. Also then peoples old excuse of i sleep in my plate armor thats how my character is becomes acceptable as they are certainly not crafter.

There is not the slightest change in lumberjacking. Hmm... Ah! I used item 2946 instead of the usual hatchet, I suggest to attach the script to both items.

is item 2946 the lumberjack axe? I was wondering if it was ever going ot be allowed to chop trees, the one I made a while ago didn't give a choppinf noise, so i assumed it wouldn't chop wood.
