Deleted thread on RPG Forum?

I think a thread I started yesterday was deleted, and was wondering why.

It was titled: For Sale.

It was my dwarf trying to sell his smithed goods. If anyone can explain why it was deleted, please PM Me. AS far as I know, it was in game...

I dont think they want auction/selling threads on there anymore?

Well, since most low level smithed items can't be sold to NPC's, then why can we not advertise in game with a notice? I mean, I've tried in game to shout out my sale, but usually people are busy, not around or the like.

I think a notice about articles for sale should be allowed.

Look at the behaviour guide for the rpg forum.

Can someone tell me then why we're not to use the RPG forums for sales/trades? I honestly think that for players that are generally not online when others are, it would give them the chance to at least find a customer, where as they'd be hard pressed normally to.

A lock would have sufficed.. it was just an advertisement for his little business .. thing.

The problem was the RPG thread was full of such posts Pocal, people over used to matter. Without the choice to do it on the RPG board perhaps you could stand inside your shop shouting your wares.

That way annoy people more than a trade post, in which the GM's shall surrender to your plee's ;)

I simply asked people to find, or dove my character, so a lock I would have been happy with if they don't want the thread to be filled with spam posts. I would gladly have dealt with customers in PM, but if I could at least of have edited the post for when my inventory changed, it would have been nice...

But oh well, I guess I'll play the town crier to sell my goods.

Is there no interest in a trade board again? Maybe another attempt will be usefull? :) I will be happy to set up a board, if necessary.

As the behaviour guide tells you, trade posts aren't welcome at the rp-board for the reasons, Aristeaus mentioned. Therefore I deleted this topic.

Well, I unfortunately didn't read the behavior guide, but when a thread gets deleted, could you PM the writer, so they know? that way if they didn't read, they don't post another thread like this, asking why it was deleted.

And Misj, I'd like to see a trade board. I think that it would help the player trades, that everyone is always complaining about there being a lack of.

It is just that the last attempt to a tradeboard got lost. Oh well, I will set one up anyhow. Expect more news on this.

As there were posts after your trade post, telling about the behaviour guide and me being away for three days, I thought, you have seen it allready, that it wasn't allright.
Next time, the one will get a PM, if a topic was deleted.
But I won't pm everyone, who's unnecessary ooc post and ooc parts I delete mostly daily on the board. This would be to much work. And hence, people should know about the guides and ooc and PMs and other ways of communication.

By the way, Misjbar, there was not only one trial for a trade board, I can think about three different boards.

Well, I posted it last night, soon before I went to bed, and when I woke up, poof...no thread...so, I didn't know there were any replies to it.
