when i start the game it runs perfectly except it splits into 4 smaller screens that run together pplease help somebody

Can you describe more precise what the error is? You have 4 windows running, all showing the illarion game screen, all running at the same time (i.e. showing animation, a mouse pointer ...)?

Hmm.. sounds like an old monitor that can't handle the screen resolution.  Sometimes when you tell those old monitors to go to a resolution they were not capable of, they would try anyway, and you'de get some weird results.

Also, on old monitors yuo can set the Horizontal and Vertical sync with gnobs in the back of the monitors, but sometimes they required screwdrivers to turn.  If you're not sure what you're doing with the monitor, though, don't try.  Ask someone else to.  At least then you'll have someone to blame when it breaks.

Or it could something totally else unrelated.
