Rhiannon rushes into the inn, not heeding the blood that coats her forearm and stains her clothes. Her rainbow sword is no longer is at her side; only the smaller blade Anither had given her that day, with her name carved into the hilt. She keeps her hand on the sword, looking around wildly, and stuffs her diary and a few other belongings into her backpack. Running swiftly out of the inn again, she runs westward and does not stop until she reaches the pillar of Drahken.

Rhiannon stares at the pillar with an acid stare that does not belong on so young a face.

"You took everything away from me. I hate you."

Her voice is full of fury, hatred, and a deep, unimaginiable hurt

"I can trust no one now, not if Aokan of all people has done this. No one. I hate you!"

The young girl's voice rises to a scream, and she throws herself at the pillar, beating at it and clawing at it until her fingernails are torn and bleeding and her fists are bruised "I hate you!"

Finally, she sinks to the ground, exhausted, and merely sobs with an intensity that is bottomless, desparate.

((open RP, but please no force RP such as carrying her, and no ridiculous RP that doesn't make snese :P))

Rath, sitting inside the Inn, hearing Rhiannon Scream runs over his chair and bursts the door open giving all heed to the wind, He runs around the city Looking for the source of the yell, having searched everwhere on the north, east, and wouth side of town he starts heading to the west part of town. He holds his daggers already drawn hoping he will not have to use them, but ready to do so if he must

"I will hold my promise...please Rhi...Don't do anything rash on me.."

Rhiannon's sobs fall silent a she leans against the pillar, in its shadow. Her thin frame shakes violently, blood and tears mingling as she wipes her arm across her face in effort to force tears aside.

There is now no sound from her save the rattling of her breath in her lungs as she shakes and shakes, tears streaming from her face and blood from a long, deep cut dowm her forearm

Rath sliding around the corner of the south west wall comes to a halt seeing Rhiannon at the pillar cring profusely, he sheaths his daggers and leans against the wall keeping his distance and whispers to himself

"That's the typical child..blaming it on everything but the thing that commited the crime..pfft"

He looks away from Rhiannon and the Pillar
"...Why must that man play games with this child so..he will pay for this.."

Rath hits his hand hard on the wall making a loud thump and could have broken his hand. He looks at his daggers at his side.

"Stupid man..i don't wish to kill you, but if you hurt Rhiannon any more this way i swear to it.."

Rath stops speaking and stares at the sky

A figure with a gigantic black cloak, covering himself so that noone can see what he really is, walks up to the girl and kneels down. He looks at her with his blue eyes from within the cloaks hood and tilts his head.

"Are you hurt?"

He looks at the blood on her clothes.

"Do you need anything?"

He reaches out with a scaled hand for hers to try to comfort her..

Rhiannon looks at him with hollow gray eyes

"Go away. Get away from me."

She presses her back to the cold stone of the pillar a moment, then suddenly, she picks up her backpack and begin to run again, north beyond the Lake of Adron, and further still. For a child so small, she runs very fast, and her tiny form lets her slip in and out of shadows, up and down trees, and out of sight. If someone followed her path, they'd see scattered pages from a book about pirates and a torn, dirty red book cover.

Capus was found that day near Greyrose mining. He seemed to be tired and covered in ash from smithing. But yet a paper fell to his ankle and the small brewer picked it up. Reading the page and relizing the author quickly followed the path thinking of that night she stood there not responding to one word he spoke.

Rhiannon huddles against a large rock in a forest somewhere, not quite sure where she is. She had run a long time, and had not paid any mind to where she had wound up. Rain pours around her, but she sits under a thick tree and only a little bit of drizzle makes its way to her. She huddles against tree and rock, scribbling in a dark green book, carefully holding it nearly upright to keep it from the rain. Her gray eyes fix almost hollowly on the pages, every now and then a tear sliding down her pale, bruised face. Dried blood coats her forearm and her clothes, but she doesn't seem to heed it. Hours pass, and the girl scribbles until nightfall, at last closing the book to hold it to her chest. She looks up into the canopy of trees, still sobbing desperately, if quietly.

As night settles in, she becomes aware of strange noises and stirrings in the forest.

"I'm not afraid." she insists out loud, in a small shaking voice, but as though in disagreement with herself, she presses her back closer to the surface of the stone. Far off, she hears the cry of a wolf, and shivers, then sets her face defiantly. "Not afraid," she repeats.

Later, much later in the night, when she had been still for hours, save the tears falling down her face and the shuddering of her shoulders in the chill fall air, she at last lets out another sound: a shuddering, rasping whisper that is only one word and yet seems to speak of all the ills ever placed on her young soul and body:

"Stop."

The waters of Adrons lake stir, a skull emerges from its depth, followed by the rest of the skeletal being, finely made garb hangs losely from the creatures frame, and its burning eyes stare to the column.

' My Lord Drahken '

With unnatural grace the form moves towards trollsbane, walking through the towns gates it oberves the small crowd before it.

Such pitifull creatures.. why do they resist..

A small form charges the Dravish, a large axe in its grip. a dwarf, yes a dward. Blocking the strike with a single hand the lich knocks the small figure sprawling with a feirce strike.

Fools...

Looking about himself, the other cowering creatures beneath his notice Dravish speaks as to himself.

' She is no longer in this town '

Turning, those before him allready forgotten the creature make its way into the undergrowth

The cloaked figure walks around in town talking generally to people.. He hear that someone saw a small girl run into the forest and haven't come back since..

"There are banditsss in the foressst..."

He spoke to himself for a while then hastly went to the depot chest and grabbed his black cloak. He then ran off, enshroudering himself in it and murmuring to himself. He ran towards the forest.

Eventually, the night ends, and the sun rises to find Rhiannon still huddled in the same place, clutching her diary to her chest. The sun gradually slides across the sky, but Rhiannon shows no notice of it. All day long, the girl merely stares straight ahead, not seeing the forest around her, but replaying over and over again her last conversation with Aokan. Pendar, Caitlin, and Caden enter her mind, too, but she forces them away.

"No more making them worry, I can't risk something happening to them too..."

For it seemed to the girl that everyone who cared about her met a bad fate, and she couldn't bear to cause that again, especialy not to the family that ha taken her in and loved her despite all. She knew they'd worry for now, but they would be allright with time.

For now, though, Rhiannon thought that she must find a way to be sure no one would look for her...

At last, at dusk, she stirs, and stands. Water still drips from the leaves from last night's storm, but she doesn't notice the cold drops falling on her head, nor the cold fall night air that makes her shiver. She is intent only on the sword at her side, the one with "Rhiannon" carved painstakingly into the hilt by her brother, Anither. She draws the sword from its sheath and stares at it.

"They're right," she says with a hollow, bitter humor, "Little girls shouldn't be allowed to play with swords." She laughs a little, a sound so bitter that it almost scares herself, and then falls silent again. Looking at the sword, she comes up with a plan...

The forest is still and silent, and in the place where Rhiannon had sat for two days is only a discarded apple core and an odd spattering of a dark, murky substance on the ground and the rock. A coppery smell tinges the air.

No sign of Rhiannon save the blood and apple in the forest and the artifacts in the road can be found. She seems to have truly disappeared, or died.

Following that all too familiar feeling that Rhiannon was in trouble Anither trudges into the night. The wind whips across his cloak lashing out at any exposed areas of his body. The tree seem to do nothing to stop it. Anither continues to walk soon breaking into a run following nothing but his instinct and that horrible feeling churning itself inside of him, eating away at his very being. Was he too late, had she died?. He forces the thoughts out of his head and concerntrates on his promise to her. He said he would be there to protect her and he would do all he could to do so.
As he walks he sees blood staining the floor of the forrest. She was bleeding, badly by the looks of things. He had to hurry. THe feeling grew worse inside him threatening to consume him fully. Pushing the feeling aside with all his will anither continued his search.

He hadn't meant to be gone for those days, yet it had only been 3 days. Old wounds and the last traces of the venom had sapped his strength, old wounds from Dravish had taken there toll to. Stopping at the house of the druids looking for Cait he had simply found he lacked the will to move again.
Undeniably the rest had been good he felt an old spring in his step and his sword arm fast and fluid again, scarce and ache in his body.
Upon his return to town an ill feeling had lingered one he couldnt shake and suddenly the realisation stopped him dead in his tracks, Gods where is Rhi.
A quick search of town turned up nothing a scan of the wall elluded to a possible murder though.
No she wasn't dead he knew it, he had to believe it. Changeing his plate for light leathers and metal boots for buckskins he left town at a run.

Reaching the edge of the southern forest he stood a moment, purseing his lips and whisteling a strange almost ethereal tune. He stood motionless waiting a time and then he saw the shadow in the sky, a light smile slid along his lips.
Greetings little brother, I need your eyes.
The raven cawed and circled slowly, a flickering message shared betwix the two. Images of the child he sought and his heart felt will to find her.
Sceadwain circled once more before heading south, the man felt a moments gratitude that his tie to Cait and his to her lent him limited ability to enlist this strange watchers service.
He took off at a run no doubt the ravens guess was as fine as his own, simply he had to find her.
Near an hour later much of the south forrest had been covered his hair was plastered back with sweat as he crouched against a tree catching his breath....
If it took a month and he had to walk every inch of the isle he would find her. Not only a responbility but a deep need drove him....
Damnit sunshine, just be safe this time im coming...

Rhiannon curls up amongst the pine needles, still shivering despite the strong drink that rests, half-drunk already, on the rock beside her. The chill air penetrates her cloak, and her bones seem to rattle together with it. SHe sits up blearily and takes another sip from the mug. Funny, she was starting to feel very warm now even though she still shivered, and she was dizzy and fuzzy-headed, too...

Confused without knowing why, she lays down again, the drink hitting her system probably more effectively than its provider had intended; she was after all, on a near-empty stomach and she weighed about the same as an average six year old child.

Rhiannon stretches out on the bed of pine needles, her head beginning to pound in rhythm to her heart. "Ow..." she mumbles blearily, starting to cry in confusion. She feels suddenly very thirsty and reaches for the only nearby drink. Her forearm stretches towards it, a long dark line tracing its way from elbow to wrist in the moonlight. She downs the rest of the cup, trying to make her throat stop burning, but the sensation only increases, and she grips her head crying silently into the forest floor "Ow..."

She quiets down after a few minutes, as her breathing becomes dangerously slow and shallow, her form lying still and faceup on the needles, unconcious.

((No finding her by some miracle, please. This post is just for the atmosphere :P))

Night falls over the island and the man loses sight the raven against the black sky. Thankful for the full moon yet forced to slow his pace in poor light regardless. He continues his search,
Hours pass and the night grows cold by the time he stops at a small river to quench a throat parched from dust and excersion. Feeling the icey water hit his empty stomach like a brick he sits a moment and looks to the moon.
Shareing slow words with the moon as he has done since he was young himself, yet this time he speaks not to the moon.

Damn Rhi, where are you this chill is not just the air my home is broken.
I need my sunshine, we need you. You propably havent even realised it but your the first person who took my name on this island. My first....born or no.
If words where wings i would send these and the pages we havent even written yet, words unspoken and smiles yet unearthed.
I have seen a light in you nothing can touch it only the cruelty of our world burry it but for a moment....
You glow in my eyes, remember child you keep the sorrow out, remember I need you as much as i simply wish you with me. Both deeply and currently sorely.

Standing quickly feeling nearly guilty for time wasted indulgeing himself with idle words, he set of at a jog.
He had a daughter to find after all

The cloaked figure walks out of the forest with heavy stepps since he could not find her. He walks down towards the river and throws off the gigantic black cloak revealing his deep blue scales and battlescarred body. He takes off the belt over his shoulder containing various items including a huge scimiltar on his back, a blunt dagger and some strange flasks with different liquids in. He sinks himself down into the water and takes a swim. After a while he gets up, staps the belt around his chest again and covers himself in the black cloak once again. Seemingly only a shadow in the darkness he walks away towards town when he suddently hear footstepps and stands on the place. He shouts..

"Friend or foe?!"

He continues looking around in the darkness trying to see what or whoever is there..

The cloaked figure just laughs. He is surprised someone dare to mock with him a night like this and just laughs.

"Dont you dare face me, foe?!"

He looks around and suddently notices a black figure running. He shouts at him and leaps at him with drawn weapon. Even if its not to cut this shady figure, but to scare him.

Later on, after her headache had finally faded away and the sun had nearly passed the sky, fading in to dusk, Rhiannon sat rereading the old pages of her diary. When she read any entries about Pendar or Caitlin, a pang went off in her heart, a mixture of guilt and concern.

-I hope they're not worrying about me- she muses, -I hope they've forgotten about me by now. Still, they will soon, they have to. Because I'm not coming back. Never. I can't.-

As she sits, a tear beginning to form in her eye, the figure beside her reaches suddenly for her arm and jerks her upwards to a standing position. He points into the sky, where a bird with night-sky wings circles overhead, its eyes glittering down keenly.

"You know what has to be done, Rhiannon."

He glances down to the girl, who looks somewhat apprehensive. Her face is a sickly yellow-pale color, her eyes have large dark rings around them, and her cheekbones jut out , making her young face hard and angular.

"You don't have much time. If you truly mean never to go back, you have to do it, and NOW."

Rhiannon takes a deep breath and nods once. The man smiles strangely and hands her a bow and one arrow. The girl raises the bow, takes aim, and with an accuracy that shows recent practice, pierces the bird straight through with the single arrow. It falls rapidly from the sky, landing at her feet.

As she looks down at the bird with an almost sickened disbelief, the man smiles warmly and places a hand to her bone-thin shoulder.

"Good girl."

((yes indeed it was o.o))

Rhiannon still stares at the bird, an odd feeling in the pit of her stomach..

-I've never killed anything before... I don't think I like the feeling.. -

She flashes back to her vow to kill Drahken, and again she feels the hatred, the bitter anger, but.. She stares down at the dead raven...

-I can't do this again, it doesn't feel as easy as it's made out to be.. I.. I killed it... How can people do this every day? -

She thinks again about the pain Drahken caused her through Aokan's betrayal, and vows again in her mind to kill him for it, but somehow she knows that her hunt for Drahken will be abandoned, because no matter how angry she is, she can't shake the heavy feeling in her stomach. She doesn't think she can face to kill again, to face that rock in her belly again. At least not yet.

The man grabs her shoulder suddenly and leans down to whisper

" Now we need to leave, Rhiannon.. We're leaving a trail now."

Nodding dimly, Rhiannon tears her eyes away from the bird and begins to gather her things. Her ears, gifted with a small amount of elven blood, prick as she hears footsteps far off in the woods, heading towards her. The man with her apparently hears it, too, for he hands her her half-packed bag and grabs his own, taking her hand and dragging her at a run. Eventually, he simply picks her up and carries her in the opposite direction, not listening to her protests...

"My diary.." her whispered protests go unheeded.

There in the woods, after Rhiannon and her companion are gone, remain an empty mug, the dead bird with an arrow still through it, a bed of pine needles, and a small book with a dark green cover.

He saw the bird spiral from the sky,
He doubled his pace hurtling over stump and brush movement distracted from dread. The bird would only have been circleing one person and no Rhi wouldnt have...
She was in trouble, ten minutes later he approached the clearing and slowed his pace listening intently for anything stiring the woods.
Sure it was clear he stepped into the small grove and cast his eyes about, clearly she had been here, the small imprint still visivle of the bed of pine needles, the mug and the book.
He bent down next to the raven and stroked gently over its head as he tore the arrow free.
I am sorry little brother, your service was never mine to call
He gently placed the birds corpse in his bag, like a fallen comrade just abandoning the dead didnt sit well with him.
His eyes lingered a moment on the scene Rhi wouldnt go with out her diary something was terribly wrong. Stuffing the diary into his bag he stood slowly.
A mixture of frustration, fatigue and worry washed over him, his eye balls burnt in there sockets from dust and lack of sleep.
He lashed out a viciouse kick at the nearest tree and screamed. Laughing nearly hysterically as he saw the birds take flight from the tree's and forrest fall silent again, he silently cursed Aokan, Thalgul, Anither each in turn for every placeing a mark on a spirit he loved.
He took a moment to page through the diary,
Like a blow to the gut he felt his breath stolen, words of choice and the crushing realisation she had left of her own will.
My choice is made, my daughter how did i fail to make you see it ?
Where did we go wrong, that you feel you have to run from me...

Turning around a few times as if the entire situation had made him dizzy he picked a path that seemed lucky and set off trusting fate to lead him to Rhi. Time was short but his legs felt heavy and his heart burdensome....
Damnit it child im coming...

When at last the man sets her down again, Rhiannon is dizzy and her ears are ringing oddly. Apparently something in her face belays how she feels.

"Here, Rhiannon, eat before you die" he insists, handing her an apple. Rhiannon merely shakes her head, feeling too upset, sick, and nervous to eat. Far off, she thinks she hears an anguished scream, an odd, chilling laughter...

Funny, it almost sounded like...

...But that couldn't be right, Pendar was safe at home with Caitlin and Caden, and according to her companion, didn't even care that she was gone...

Too confused and dizzy to think further, she curls up on the ground and falls asleep almost immediately. The man walks circles around her restlessly, looking out in the direction the scream came from. He keeps an eye out for anyone approaching and another eye on the girl. She really does not look well... Her skin is yellow-pale, eyes shadowed, and she is thinner than ever. He remembers the incredible lightness of her frame when he carried her earlier. Shaking his head, he places another apple near her head for when she wakes and looks determiniedly towards the place where birds now fly from the treetops.

"You won't find her while I'm in the way. She was never your daughter," he mutters.
