It's a bug and shouldn't be there. Get it deleted, and in the meantime just act like you can't understand the elvish text.

Why do humans never get anything like that?
And those "excuses" are usualy made up realy bad.
If they're able to talk elvish which is by far one of the hardest "languages" (just thinking about sindarin not to say it's the Illarion elven language but for comparing)
then they shouldn't use that "yooos" and "nhub"'s while speaking common.
I realy wonder how much Intelligence that orcess has, I heard her aswell
And if an orc is able to "learn" and talk elvish from one of their shamans I think humans should get elvish as a starter language, being smarter and all, everyone could've learned it by studying alone.

I'd just like to remind players who use this bug to their advantage that it's against the rules to abuse bugs.

.... Exsplain to me why you bothered to post that?
It would be hard for a Human with great intellect to learn Elven. But an orc understanding it is basicly out of the question. I do not see Kaja wanting to speak Human. And being a mage requires a good mind.
The fact is, looking on it now, orcs speaking any form of Elvish is obsured.

Mmm.. Aegohl said it best really. When all else fails, go 'by the book.'

Err... wrong forum. I'm not a staff member here >_>
Anyway, to contribute a little more, I'd like to say that if there's a good RP reason for it, an orc should be able to learn elven. Mayhaps this will be a possibility in the future? With the incorporation of learning other languages? (I honestly don't know if this is possible yet or not, or if its even been planned for. I'm still substantially out of the loop.)

Im sure it is planned for. We even had a discussion on it. But, if you can think of a reason for an orc knowing elvish, I would love to hear it

The best i could think of is: "Ko pick up long ear gibber while burning elfie's towns, hur hur"

It just prooves that orcs are by far the smartest race on the isle, and that the humans and elfs are thier inferiors, designed to be slaves.

... Can I use that one? >_>
But seriously.. there really isn't any good reason for an orc to be knowledgeable in the elvish tongue. The only possible scenario I can think of is perhaps.. an (in some way) orphaned orc who is found and raised by two elven folk, likely out of pity. Even then, the rarity of such a thing is extreme, thus making it terribly impractical for any kind of use except in some kind of short story. Of course, the orc would need to be orphaned at a very young age (a mother who died after giving birth kind of situation?).

Can you imagine? I like that idea very much so. An elven couple should get a orc son. It would be a very very interesting RP.
But, id imagine the frustration that would cuase. The orc would be very upset he isnt learning elvish at the pace his parents expected.

What can I say? I used to write.. a lot. .... Okay, too much.

It would make for interesting RP, but one would have to be a very talented roleplayer in order to pull off something so delicate.
