There has been a change to the way the teleporter books work. They open a magic portal now instead of providing instant travel. This opens some new possibilities, but you should not rely on a teleporter book to rescue you out of a messy situation in the last moment.

Das eröffnet ein paar neue Möglichkeiten, aber Ihr solltet Euch in Zukunft nicht darauf verlassen, daß Euch ein Teleporter Buch im letzten Moment aus einer brenzligen Situation rettet.

Does the teleporter apear were you are standing and you disapear? Can others go through the portal? Does it apear away from you? Can enemys go into the portal?

first use of new teleporter, and the portal landed inside a wall... thats irony right there.

It is also a big concern for GMs.

Maybe its best to use these things ouside in an open area?? Think people think.

If the portal is used in a very tight space, it might appear on the other side of a wall. Rather inconvenient.

But did it actually appear in the wall itself? It should look for a free space for itself.

I found that the same happened on the test server, with the teleport pad appearing inside a wall. So yes, it would probably be wise, as Grobby says, to use the teleporter in an open area.

But dammit it LOOKS good!
And great that several people can use the same portal. Much fun can be had with these.
Great for staging invasions.......
Now all we need is fot mages to be able to create their own with different destinations.......maybe the destination could be set to the tile where the book is created?

yea, the new teleporters are very cool, and i must say far more likable then the old one, as to the wall thing, yea open area sounds good, but i still thought it was pretty funny, Karma seems to love to bite me in the ass this month.
