In the course of deciding upon some historical information for our characters, Mirluin and I were wondering if anyone knows when Vanima was considered to be founded. Yes, this could be asked ig, but that would seem an awkward occurence that an elf not know the history of the town that is central to their culture (and an accurate answer would be nice too).

If you know, or have an idea, the info would be appreciated.

Well according to the 3 hours = illarion day formula, 1 1/2 months = 1 illarion year. So like 2-3 maybe 4 years??

The formula is 1 RL hour = 3 Illarionhours. That means 1 RL month = 3 Illarionmonth. 1 1/2 RL month = 4 1/2 Illarionmonth

There is no link. Just ask one of the many GM's on the Illarion RL meeting, like I did. I think it is even 4, not three times.

Ok, thanks...I think ...So between 1 - 4 years? Most probably about 3 or so? Whatever the case, this is close enough for me.

Just a side question I gathered from Galim's post. Are these RL meetings internet chats? And if so, are they announced/scheduled?

That's why when age is implimented only Elves will walk the lands of Illarion.

If you can't decide if it is 3 or 4 make it 3.5 and everyone's happy. Or maybe time could change speed depending on magic or something.

I wish time was faster. I think having one full day irl ewual say 5 days in illa would be better... I mean, really. I think that once aging is implemented especially it should speed up some. Maybe even two days equal a week or something, I don't know... I just want to let my child characters become teengaers before I have kids of my own, lol

Not 1 . 4 years. The elventown was made short before the wipe came. it is 1 ingame year. not much more.

And the RL meetings are meetings in the real world. we all meet us at a house, stay for 3 days and have big fun.
