Little is known of Jaspin Ironfall’s past. Rumor has it that Jaspin was the son of a well known blacksmith. At an early age Jaspin was renounced from his family by his father because he refused to follow in his fathers footsteps. His father being the well known blacksmith he was, wanted only the best for Jaspin. So for many years before his father renounced him, Jaspin’s father tried and tried to teach Jaspin his family and races crafts. But Jaspin refused knowing that he had a bigger purpose in life. It wasn’t until about age 20(in the years of humans) that Jaspin’s father formally renounced him. So Jaspin left his homeland with nothing but a weeks worth of rations, the clothes on his back, and the very hammer that his father used. But this was no ordinary hammer. It was said the hammer was blessed by the god of craftsmanship himself, Irmorom. Not many people believe the hammer was blessed, but if you have ever seen anything forged by Jaspin’s father. Be it sword, axe, dagger, or even armor. You will have no doubt it was blessed.

Jaspin was never sure why his father gave him the hammer after renouncing him. The only logical reason he could think of was that his father still wanted him to follow in his footsteps. So for many years Jaspin kept the hammer with him, never using it once. During the years after being cast out Jaspin never found a home quite like his homeland. He wandered from city to city earning his money being a hired axe. While working as a mercenary he refined his skills with an axe and built his strength. Don’t let his height and stature fool you. He may be bulky and rough looking but he has a pure heart. Jaspin believes there is nothing more valuable than a few good friends. After a long day of practicing with his axe or finishing a job, Jaspin likes to frequent the tavern and have an ale or two with his closest friends.

But his story doesn’t end there. One night after a long night of drinking and singing in the local tavern. Jaspin and his two friends whose names no one knows were confronted by someone whose name again no one knows. Except Jaspin himself. The man who’s said to stand 7 feet tall. And whose skin was the color of rock, struck down Japsin’s friends with one swing of his massive axe. Although no one knows who the man was, many think it was a competing mercenary. From that day forth Jaspin turned down any offer made to him as a mercenary and finally picked up his fathers blessed hammer.

Three days later Jaspin received a letter via pigeon that his father had died a month earlier. The letter said that a man of unimaginable size and strength killed his father. Before the man killed his father, the man said “It is his destiny.”. The letter then went on to explain that after the man said those words, Jaspin’s father got down on his knees and let the man behead him. But not before saying “My sons fate rests in your hands all mighty--“

From then on Jaspin has been in search of the one being who can teach him to be the best and most renown blacksmith since his father. Irmorom.
