On average? Because I was reading some post that it froze on 12 characters or something. So on average, if anyone have a rough estimate, people play online?

How old is this game? Is it new, or not very good? Because the max I saw was 34 were other games have 1000's and 1000's.

It is not new, but very good. It is an acquired taste, we do real roleplay here. Create personalities and form relationships. We just have a very selective group as you can see, but newcomers are always welcome.

If you like to run around and scream: YO HOMIE THAT CRUNK JUICE IS FO SHIZZLE! LMFAO LOLOLOLOL then this game will suck for you.
If you like to Role Play (eg control a person and play him as if he was a person with no knoledge of the modern day), then this game will be exelent for you.

Your walking down a street and someone shoots a glare are you... you:
A: Look at him and make a sword with magic and chop his head off.
B: Say: Hello dude
C: Attack him with you big axe
D: ignore him and start chopping wood for the 5th hour today
E: Start spamming him cuase he is an ass
F: Shoot him the glare back
K: Ask him what he is doing
((muhaha im evil))

Server crashes are independent of the number of players ingame. It comes like it wants to.

Though there are certain methods that can induce a server crash.
