Headless Body

Deep in a far corner of the mines, a headless body lies. It is the body of a rail-thin elfess, whose body had obviously undergone starvation. Aside from being headless, she is also missing a thumb, and has several arrows protruding from her body. A lock of pure silver hair lies tangled at the base of her mangled neck.

Lady Arynne Halfmoon is spending the night in Tol Vanima, unaware of her cousin's demise. She wakes up in the morning to find a small golden mirror next to her bed. A long strand of pure silver hair is wrapped around the handle of the mirror. 'That's strange,' she mutters, rising, 'This must be the mirror Thalodos told me about...But how did Aldriaa bring it here without me waking?'
She sets off for the docks, mirror in hand, ready to return to Trollsbane.
