Salathe and pendar fight outside of town. THeir axes meet and they push against eachother. With a quick swipe Salathe cuts pendars flesh and he falls
"alright... you win... "Pendar says to Salathe
"come with me" The lizard says as he slings his chains over his shoulder
Salathe leads pendar to the roof of the inn, he strips him of all his armor and weapons and chains him to the roof then stands by the stairs guard it
"I have him chained gerard!!! Come when you are ready!"
Salathe looks back down to pendar who lays wounded and chained, each hand is chained, and the chains become one chain with is chained to the roof. The chains cant be broken, made by a master smith such as Salathe, they can only be opened by a key Salathe has

Sitting on the rooftop resting his acheing body against caitlin. Pendar had only two thoughts, firslty how he was going to stop some one trying to rescue him. Secondly how he was going to find the courage for what he was about to do.
Shifting his wrist's uneasily in the slightly losened chains, his mind worked at speed seeking a solution to his current problem.

A cloaked lizard comes walking by with heavy stepps, leaning to a farely tall staff. He stopps and notices the group on the roof. He sees Salathe, Pendar and a girl he dont recognice. He examinates them for a moment then decide not to interfere, since Salathe is not the person who betray his friends, even if he is possessed. He walks to a tree, lays down the staff then rests his tired body against a smaller appletree.

Gerard leaves him room, fully rested from the previous day's events. He ascends the stairs to the roof of the Sea-Horse and looks the Chief of the Guard up and down.
Flanked by his own guards, Dnoi and Ian he surveys the guard's face. He grabs it in his hands and squeezes.
"Now, let us discuss this town, guard," he continues, "..I shall receive it soon, or I shall envelop it in flame."
Gerard stands and turns away from the guard awaiting his answer.
((This topic is a part of the event Adron's Goblet. All are welcome to be involved. It takes place within an hour period after Pendar has been captured. ))

As Caitlin hears the voices from above she stops in her movement. She was just going to bring Pendar something to eat, yet Gerard and his minions are up there on the roof.
Silently she moves one room further and opens a window in attempt to hear better what they are speaking. The grip around her druid staff tightens and with a concerned look she gazes above, not seeing anything though.
She closes her eyes for a moment and tries to calm her heart which is beating fast in a flurry of excitement.
Quietly she whispers her prayers.

Stephen made his way to the sea horse. He had heard whispers and rumors about Salathe being there with Pendar, some sort of fight had happened between the two. He hoped he could get there in time before either one was to seriously hurt.
His platemail reflected the sunlight bearing down on him. He finally reached the sea horse, it was curiously quiet, but Stephen didn't hear any sword fighting or shouts so he relaxed a little.
As he made his way up the stair way to the roof of the sea horse he spied Caitlin. He walked to her, his metal boots thudding as he came to her.
"Are Pendar and Salathe on the roof?" He asked in his usual confident voice.

Aokan woke up with a jolt. He found himself on the second floor of the Seahorse Inn. He must of nodded off while waiting. He had already seen Pendar locked in chains and some other foul play beforehand. Now he was waiting for Gerard to awake.

Wakeing fully as he hears commotion on the stairs the young man straightens as best he is able chained so.
finally he comes,,,,
Tanora your waters are as deep your mercy, although the gods no longer guard our isle. I shall know no fear for I have swam in your crystaline waters..I am the drop and the ocean all at once.
Hold my spirit grant me courage...
He murmurs to himself a gentle chant and draws a deep breath steeling his spirit for what must now happen.
Rolling his jaw few times to get the blood flowing again and appauled by the mans strength, he draws a steadying breath and sets his emerald green eyes on the mans back.
fear me godling..? That we must meet in chains when I waited outside the Inn so long in armor
I guard the town I dont own it I follow the peoples will and even were it mine to give *pauses breath*..you would have to take it over my dead body *voice trembels slightly*
More than certain he has for once pressed his luck to far he bends down in mock supplication his chained hands reaching for the dagger in his boot that durin smuggled him ealier.
One thought rings in his mind,,,Salathe, a thousand curses on your ambition

Aokan stood up out of boredom and headed for the stairs. As he climbed up he noticed the awoken Pendar. As he walks over towards the corner where Gerard's room is located he greets the chained man.
greetings.

Caitlin turns as she hears Stephens heavy boots thudding. She makes him a hasty gesture that he shall walk more quietly and then nods slowly to his words.
She whispers: "Gerard, Ian and Dnoi are up there too..." Worry can be read in her eyes and she finally turns back to the window, listening.
"..you would have to take it over my dead body"
Caitlin winces as she hears these words and reaches out for Stephens arm to steady herself in this moment. She takes her hand slowly off and hears Aokans voice. "Fool", she thought and looks to Stephen.
"Aokan is up there too. He is very unpredictable. I know not what will happen.... what shall we do?"

Aokan hardly takes notice to Caitlin's words and precedes with his plan he had formulated earlier. Lifting one leg onto the hedges, he slowly made his way upon the leafy shrub. As he looked over the edge, both feet hanging, he tried to see how far down the window sill was. After a few minutes of silence he looked back to Pendar.

Gerard flung Pendar's face from his hands once again and bellowed angrily:
"You cannot hand this town to me? Then the lizard lied. I will have his tail."
Gerard clicked his fingers and his guards released the chains, binding Pendar to the roof.
"You may leave my sight, but only on the condition that you arrange for me a meeting with the person who can gift this town to me.."

Aokan swings his feet as he hands off the bush, trying to reach the sill. He drops the small distance and lands on the sill. To his disappointment the window is closed. After hearing the commotion with Pendar, Aokan waits and slowly hangs off the sill in an attempt to stay out of sight.

Stephen whispers in Caitlin's ear, "Sounds like Salathe is in trouble. And maybe Gerard is releasing Pendar. If anything happens, I'll go up there and cause a distraction. You follow with a book of teleportation, you grab Pendar and teleport with him to Vanima or Varshikar. Somewhere he can regroup."
Slowly Stephen reaches for the blade of Kallahorn.

Aokan, lacking the strength, had climbed back up on the sill. Gazing up to the hedges, a good 4 feet above him, he tried to think of some way to escape. Too far below to jump, but if worse came to worse he would have to. For now, he had his eyes on the door, and his hands on the sill, crouching and waiting.

Rubbing his wrists as he stands stifly Pendar trys to collect his thoughts.
Of course Gerard handing over the town could take some time mind you.
mutters under his breath "a life time"
Salathe you are a dog and I curse your name. If it is all the same to you Gerard I would kill my own traitor?
Turning back to the man he fixes a gaze on Gerard his jaw allready swelling slightly from the mans vice like grip.
When you wish to discuss terms well you know were to find me
Pendar aims a kick at the lizard standing near the door with every intention of sending him tumbeling down the stairs.
Then slowly decends himself, bear chested and wounded but standing tall as he see's caitlin at the bottom of the stairs.

Salathe gets up and sees pendar coming down teh stairs. They engage in a fist fight, and slowing make their way to the lower floor. After descending the stairs, Salathe tosses pendar some armor and an axe.
"Lets go.."
Pendar nods, and they both run towards the east gate

With boredom setting in, Aokan looks to the grass below him. He aims for a small patch and jumps down. Another way will be found to reach Gerard.

The cloaked lizard notices the man jumping down and stands up with the help of the tree. He watch as Salathe and Pendar runs towards the east gate and then nods for himself and starts to walk off, not minding the two. He walks into the shop and takes out a healing potion from his depot, drinks it whole, and with renewed strength he takes out a somewhat good looking pickaxe from the depot. He walks off towards the mountain behind GreyRose.
